Minnesota has lost two in a row to Iowa and have four games left, we have 5 left. They are battling us for the 8 seed in the B1G tournament. Our magic number is 1. One more win by us and one more loss by them, we freeze them out.

Yes, folks, it's come down to this. Fighting over the 8 seed. Good grief, what happened to our beautiful season?

Twenty two wins by April, five sweeps, 11 game win streak, 16-1 run.... We had it going. Oh well. Good news is, we are winning the battle with Minny. GBR

If we take care of business and sweep Purdue, we'll have locked up a spot and there's a pretty decent chance we'll stay ahead of Indiana at #7. Either way, we'll likely finish 2-3 games out of 4th/5th spot which, given the difficulty of our schedule compared to those at the top, is probably where we "should" be. Again, just winning two of the five could-go-either-way games we lost to Maryland, Ohio State and Iowa would have made an enormous difference.
