Truthfully, at this point, if we can hang onto 2nd place I think they will let us in the Regional based on that alone.

What's your assessment on why so far? I'll admit I haven't seen too much of them this year (thanks Big Ten Conference). But those loses to Illinois are brutal.
Sunday starter has struggled all season. 3 year Sunday starter and this is by far worst year, ERA over 7. First game loss yesterday came with Gophers up 5-2 going into the last ab for Illinois. Gophers bring in closer with 15 saves and promptly lose 9-5. Been signs of this coming, hopefully short lived. Not so sure the staff was a bit over achieving early in the year.

That's a whole bunch of teams within a game or two of each other. An inability to sweep teams like Ohio State is keeping us from separating from the pack.
