Anybody else subscribe to BTN Plus? Many of the schools do a pretty good job but Minnesotas is horrible. A camera in the pressbox and it pretty much doesnt move at all. They not have some sort of sports media course or what?

They do their own basketball games for BTN plus and do a pretty decent job.

Funny thing is, I remember watching games years ago when they actually had announcers and had someone running the camera. Not sure why their baseball streams have gotten so much worse, especially when you have to pay BTN Plus subscription fees.

Without a win today over Minnesota, it will be difficult to catch Minnesota and the winner of next week's Maryland at Indiana series. Iowa also has a favorable schedule to finish out the season (plus the conclusion of their series with Rutgers today). A win today, and we have tiebreakers over all of those teams except Iowa.

Tough back-half schedules for Ohio State, Illinois, and Penn State. Hard to see them crawling out from the bottom of the conference to make the conference tournament.

Purdue, Michigan State, and Northwestern will probably be fighting for the last couple tourney spots.

I realize it's not wise to look ahead, but hey, we're fans, not players or coaches. Plus I had some time this morning.

What stinks it the tied game we have with Indiana. Win that instead and the tie breaker format we have against them, Maryland, and hopefully Minnesota matter more. But since we have that tie we will most likely be a half game above or below teams anyways. Other than Indiana of course which we have the tie breaker against if it works out that way.

A lot of baseball and quite honestly it's hard to win three even against a bad squad so winning today and sweeping 3/4 would do wonders for us. A man can dream right?

Winning today: 7-4-1
Sweep 3 series: 16-4-1
1-2 in other series: 17-6-1
2-1 in other series: 18-5-1

Yeah, I could live with that :D

Except that we are Nebraska and can't get out of our own way... that 18-5-1 is completely do-able and just might win the B1G for us.

Of all the contenders (MD, MN, MI, NE), we have the softest remaining schedule as we face the three worst teams in conference plus MSU.

I'm leaving Indiana and Iowa out of the contender role b/c Indiana has MD yet and Iowa just lost to Rutgers plus Iowa has four series left with more losses likely.

Gotta say though, Maryland looks to be in the drivers seat. If they win the Indiana series I think they win the title even if we go 18-5-1.

I think Iowa is just as much a contender as we are (half a game behind us but hold the tiebreaker). Three of their four remaining opponents have shown little life (Penn State, Ohio State, Illinois), then they play Michigan State just like we do. Similar back-half schedule to ours (Rutgers for us, Illinois for them).

If Indiana (at Michigan) and Maryland (DH vs. Michigan State) win their games today, I'd say the winner of their series next weekend has the inside track to the regular season title, followed by the winner of NU-MINN, Iowa, and the loser of NU-MINN. Michigan over Indiana today changes the complexion of the conference standings. I wonder if they're having an emotional letdown weekend after sweeping Oklahoma last week.

Michigan State is a big wild card the rest of the way. Two games at Maryland today, a must-sweep series at Northwestern to separate them for the last tourney spot, then vs. Iowa, at Nebraska, and vs. Michigan. 11 of their 14 remaining games can impact the top half of the conference and the title race. If they get things going, it'll shake things up even further.

Excited for this afternoon's games, let's keep up the Sunday success!

Some of the schools do have announcers that use their Students to run the program. Minnesota probably knows if they can only get 1100 fans to a game with another top B1G school that nobody will be watching anyways. It sounds like there are quite a few Husker fans at this gsme as well. No support for Minny baseball?

Not shocking in a city that large and the setting of the stadium.

When I went up to the Big Ten tourney a couple years ago at Target Field, I took a walk through campus just to check it out. Seibert Stadium (recently renovated) is located relatively remote from anything. Separated from the rest of campus by train tracks (though close to Dinkytown). I'd say similar feel to Buck Beltzer.

10-0 top of the 4th.

Baesball is such a mental sport its crazy. With then number of games they play in a relatively short period of time, it is probably the sport with the most inconsistency with players. Why couldnt Nebraksa tee off on them like Rutgers is? Craziness.
