The announcers referred to Wisconsin as "The Big Red Machine". I thought that was the Cincinnati Reds. Of course we call our team the Cornhuskers which we got from Iowa or Big Red which we got from Oklahoma who got it from Cornell. As much a I like Big Red and Cornhuskers I also like originality, so I think we should go back to Bug Eaters. It would clearly set us apart. Of course, we would probably get protests by entamologists everywhere and that could hurt recruiting and donations to the university.
