And why is that? People, especially in the media, have been saying this. And over time, it's gone from being talked about as a need to now it's a serious need in the minds of many. But nobody says why. We've got some tackles in the program already going on their 2nd or 3rd year. Are all of these guys obvious busts? Or is there concern that we're too young at that spot?No Nebraska needs serious help at OT.
I think it’s more of a bridge year to get our young guys one more year. I’m sure they are serviceable but getting an extra boost to help them to third year is the push IMO.And why is that? The same media types were gravely concerned about Gunner Gottula as well. I suspect that some of these guys don't really have any idea what they are talking about.
“We”Been arrested twice in the past 5 months. Hopefully not another Gilbert. We have to take risks and Bama doesn’t.
My biggest concern is depth. Which everyone agrees we lack on the offensive line. Especially at tackleAnd why is that? People, especially in the media, have been saying this. I was sort of wondering the same thing so I looked at the top rushing teams this year. I didn't look at the service academies or mid majors, so looked at #8 Boise St, #9 Tennessee and #11 Notre Dame. Here is the class category of their starting and backup offensive lines this last year:And why is that? People, especially in the media, have been saying this. Boise St - (from left tackle to right tackle) SO, SR, JR, SO, SO; backups FR, JR, JR, SO JR
Tennessee - SO, SR, SR, SR, SR; backups SO, RFR, FR, SR. SR
Notre Dame - FR, SO JR, JR, SO; backups SR, FR, FR, FR, FR
So it looks to me like Boise and ND do just fine with underclassmen on their offensive lines. For the last three years we have recruited linemen we were excited about (e.g. Brix). Why do we need portal guys, can't our sophomores and RFRs play?
Another Jacob Hood? Guess we'll see how it pans out
I wouldn’t be so sure about the money.Somehow missed that. Stupid decision. Wake forest is low visibility and low money
No it's not, except in rare cases like maybe Dowdell. We could have put together competitive offers for any of the players we lost. They left for other reasons. Dowdell is an exception because we valued him less than some other schools, and it's an assessment I agree with. It's also the main reason we lose transfers to other schools.
NIL giveth and taketh away.
I'm fine with adding some pieces from the portal, but if Donovan is worth even a fraction of his salary, he should be able to develop talent from within the program.I was sort of wondering the same thing so I looked at the top rushing teams this year. This guy is good.
Did Jacob Hood start every game the year before he transferred to Nebraska?Another Jacob Hood? Guess we'll see how it pans out
Don't be a fool. Wrap your tool.😌 Also, always inspect the playing surface before taking the field.I think like 90% of the population has herpes … happy hunting

Everything I have read indicates he was serviceable but his performance dropped precipitously the 2nd half of the year. Could be confidence issue or maybe he couldn’t catch up when the schedule became more SEC foes rather than out of conference. I don’t know. Maybe a nagging injury. Still, he started every game for Alabama so I guess you shoot for landing him and see which version of him shows up if he commits.Apparently he wasn't very good last year. Remains to be seen how he will do here. Has all the tools for sure.
Better than "depending" on Corcoran and Teddy I guess. Anything from those guys is extra I think.
Holla
Mazzccua II, electric bugaloo.Been arrested twice in the past 5 months. Hopefully not another Gilbert. We have to take risks and Bama doesn’t.

Yeah but too bad I’m usually in a drunken state so I default to - don’t be a dummy, pull out and bust on her tummyDon't be a fool. Wrap your tool.😌 Also, always inspect the playing surface before taking the field.
Give me that OT from NMSU instead. That dude seems more balanced.Did Jacob Hood start every game the year before he transferred to Nebraska?
Even when you troll your wrong. He was arrested in 23 and April of 24 .Been arrested twice in the past 5 months. Hopefully not another Gilbert. We have to take risks and Bama doesn’t.
