Big 10 refs are just awful......

Watching parts of the NW/wis and Purdue/gopher game, they literally don't know how to spot the ball. Purdue got a 1st down twice, victimized by awful spots, then gophers turn it into a TD. Lots to like about the big10 conference: refs ain't one of them.

On go ahead TD reception by Illinois wide receiver, the side judge signaled a touchback (as if it were an interception). Even after the Illini players went up to him, he still seemed like he had no clue as to who was on offense and/or defense.

I have never seen refs have as much of an issue spotting the ball as they did in the NU/Purdue game a couple weeks ago. What were there, three spots reviewed and overturned? IIRC, there were a couple other borderline spots too.
