This has nothing to do with Biden. It is all because the country opened back up and it is still less than expected.

Amazing what happens when you let people live their lives.
Hmm all I heard from 2016-2020 whenever we had a 3% growth bump was that the Trump economy was the greatest of people’s lifetimes. 100% credit to Dear Leader!

Tell that to India, chief. When they’re burning 5,000 bodies a day. Last time I checked we live in a global economy / supply chain. Rampant Delta on the other side of the planet hurts us too.
So you meant to blame anti-vaxxers in India?

I don't think they have tests that tell the difference in Variants if there is really a Delta Variant out there.

Plus based on testing over the last 6 months and that accuracy....who knows what real numbers are.
it's pretty simple really
either the vaxxes don't work OR the testing is faulty

The money, those checks from the congress are drying up and that is slowing the growth slightly. Some was looking for 8 to 8.5 possible growth. But certain areas of the economy is slow to recover.

They run DNA sequencing on random samples. 80%+ of new cases in US are Delta. @damcde can correct me

I’ll rephrase that anti vaxxers in US had smaller impact on Q2 numbers. Will be larger in Q3-4 as we hit 100,000+ new cases daily. You stated Delta had no impact on Q2 figures. Care to revise that assessment?
Where did I say that?

India could have used at least triple that number. That country is a shit hole, also, too many people live there.

“Delta wasn’t really a thing in Q2 chief”

From that I can infer you think it had zero impact on Q2 results.
Ok…On the list of reasons why GDP came in far below consensus, I’ve got Delta ranked as number 653

What are you talking about? There are definitely tests to tell the difference in variants. As @Hardlyboy already said, many of the bigger labs will take samples randomly and send them to sequencing. Which tells you the exact sequence of the viral RNA, and how they tell which variant it is.

Hold up. Are we now saying missing expectation by 2% is a economy thats roaring back? Maybe that would be true if Joe and his blue state governors would get their asses in gear..

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/07/29/q2-gdp-rises-at-6point5percent-vs-8point4percent-estimate.html
The expectations are projections based on incomplete data, making them or missing them does not mean one thing or another for a politician. The fact that you’re criticizing any politician for missing “expectations” made by an number cruncher at a desk, or praising one for making “expectations” is ridiculous — but doing this about something as large, complex and uncontrollable as the largest economy in the world displays a level of ignorance and stupidity of macro-proportions.
