Watching Iowa get exposed on national TV is glorious. I'm loving every second of this bowl game.

Love seeing them get beat, but this is embarrassing for the BIG West. This is the best we had to offer. My gawd.

Nebraska and Wisconsin were the B1G West's best teams at the end of the year. We out played Iowa but Tommy killed us with turnovers.
No, we are the top team in the West. All these teams we went toe to toe with and we were rebuilding a team and it's psyche. While they had upperclassmen leadership and a established coaching staff. The future for Nebraska looks very bright!
I think the top teams/programs in the West are in order...
1. Nebraska
2 Wisconsin
3. Northwestern
4. Iowa

Iowa is losing 12 senior starters to our 6. And it sounds like King is leaving early. So Iowa is losing it's top returner too. Good thing Collins isn't a specialist cause we're returning all them... Iowa is losing both punter and kicker. Yet i keep hearing how loaded Iowa will be next year???

If TA played the Iowa game the way he played vs. UCLA, the Huskers win in a blowout. Plain and simple. He imploded. GBR!
I understand the hate for Iowa, although I never saw any value in hatred myself, but how come not any disgust for NW? They got blasted by Tenn., and never once acted like they thought they could win that game. Played that game with very little emotion except to get out of town fast!
The answer is pretty simple... Most people that despise Iowa can't stand the fans. My experience with the fans hasn't been bad in person... Just some bad fans on message boards, which isn't a surprise. But most here have made it clear the reason they don't like Iowa is because of their fans. Northwestern doesn't have the same kind of fans I guess.
I'll tell you what i think...
Northwestern isn't our next door neighbor. They work with us and do other things that closely bound communities do. They might look like us but they act like the trailer trash they are. They are like the pigs in the pin who'll gladly roll around in the crap and they're in heaven. We find that totally unbecoming but that's a Hawkeye and we just shake our heads. Now the Hawkeye fan just doesn't get it. They see it as us being uppity when in fact it's just being a normal human. Normal people don't want to roll around in the mud like a Jerry Springer episode... it might be fun to watch like a flaming car hanging off a bridge. But no normal person is calling Springer to reveal their dirty laundry on national TV. But Hawkeye fan is all over that for the free plane trip and hotel. Good for them... just don't date my son or daughter!

Nice attempt to redirect, but it sure seems like you just summed up Io_a's performance in the Rose Bowl. It took a terrible performance by TA to hand you a one score victory against that 6-7 team. Which team was executing / disciplined / fundamentally sound in their last game of the year? Enjoy your 15 minutes, which resulted in Io_a swallowing a gigantic turd in front of all of the nation.
Not an Iowa guy at all, but 12-2 means those guys must have done something right. Any attempt to rip their season just comes off as sour grapes on this board.

Good points, but don't teams who don't like each other get to do this? Not wanting to be hypocritical here, but this happens on every board between two teams that don't much like each other. They tend to revel in the other's misery almost as much as they do their own success.
If you don't visit the site regularly, then you have no idea. And "no," giving guff to idiot trolls who hang out on your message board isn't reserved solely for the best teams in the Country.
