Lads it's 5AM in Dublin. I just got back from the club and I watched the end of the game. To all of my husker brethren enjoy this because this is the best team we've had in 15 years! Sure it was sloppy but this team has heart. That entire fourth quarter was perfect. We didn't score but we pounded the rock, killed the clock, and gave the wildcats next to nothing to work with. That's how you win games on the road. The most important thing about today is this team believes that they're going to do big things this year. Go Big Red! #KoolAid

I agree with a lot of the points you made. There is a feeling that this team could be special in terms of overachieving. The offensive line has been the biggest surprise as they are fundamentally sound and smart unit. I can't recall the last time that they were called for a holding call. The defense has a bend but don't break approach. Our secondary has been the biggest surprise.

Having said all that, I still believe the 2010 team had more talent on that team although they finished the year horribly. We will have to wait and see how this squad finishes this season. Still a lot of football yet to play.

They looked good, played smart, etc.. Tommy has finally put it all together (ok a few high passes but that's because I'm picky). Loved seeing Wilborn at the end.. he has some flash.. clean up the little mistakes and we put games like this away earlier.. Onwards and upwards!

we haven't played a top 30 team yet and won't until game 8. pretty hard to tell how good we are.

I think this team swings on how well armstrong plays that day, just because his passing can be on or off, and the offense is set up mostly for passing. if he nails passes, it opens the run game, makes the o lines job easier, and keeps the defense fresh. so it's kinda hard to judge this team with past teams cause we are not sure whats going to transpire. if armstrong can do well with passing, it could be better than ganz and pork chop and the best since we beat tennesse. if we run into the wisconsons and ohio states and he can't pass well enough. it won't.

I do like the coaches letting armstrong run more, should have done that last year.

Oregon was ranked #22 when we played them, but unsure if they belong in the top 30 or not. We have to to continue to improve every week and there was a lot of sloppy tackling out there again last night. If we continue to get better every week, we should turn out all right.

I like this team, but we need to see how this team finishes the season. The real schedule begins on Oct 29.

We beat the heck out of Oregon physically and they may not recover this year from that.

2009 team was a good qb from competing for a national championship, we lost 4 games that year by a combined 9 points and had an injured Zac Lee at qb, a zac lee who would be replaced by a freshman Tay Martinez the next year. 2010 team beat two top 15 teams, and were top 5 until the Texas game. And we were 9th when we were jobbed against Texas A@m with an injured frosh Qb, those early Pelini teams with Callys recruits were really good teams...if Blaine Gabbert chooses NU I think we may have played in multiple BCS games, including a national title game in 2009, 2010, 2011.

Love the enthusiasm. The 2009 and 2010 teams were not slouches. They played in an excellent Big 12 conference. We'll know after playing Wisconsin and Ohio State what kind of team this is.

Put the 2008 offense along side the 2009 defense and we would have won the Big12 both years...
2009 offense was brutal how we stayed in that 2009 CCG was a tribute how good Suh and that defense was.
