Hard to compare eras, but Glover was every bit as dominant in his time at NU as Suh was. He was a sideline-to-sideline beast.

Others that should be on the list are Larry Jacobson and John Dutton.

Suh, but Glover is close as a College lineman.

In 1971 Glover had something like 21 tackles in Norman against an OU center that as All American. It was as astounding of a single game by a DL as Suh and his destruction of Colt McCoy. Only Glover won, and Suh got jobbed by the refs.

He also got jobbed out of the Heisman. There's no question in my mind that if we win that game Suh wins the Heisman.

Think need to have the all time Nebraska offense and defense special teams and captains or MVP on offense and defensive, it would be interesting topic there's some of us born in 30s through 2012 will have way different views. Take willie Harper no Buttkus award he probably would have won it two years in a row and bob brown I remember dad talking about bobby Reynolds

Harper was one of the greatest-ever Husker defenders, though I would consider him more of a linebacker when comparing across different eras. He was officially a DE, but was all over the field.

Suh, without any doubt. Probably one of the most dominating d-lineman in the history of college football. Never will forget when he signed with us over Oregon on signing day. Knew he would be special but never imaged he’d turn out to be the beast that he was/is.

Kenny Walker should be on that list - he DOMINATED the LOS a well as anyone - save Glover and Suh.

If I'm not mistaking Suh in his senior year was statistically comparable to Alabama's defensive line..
1 Neil Smith 2 Willie Harper 3 John Dutton 4 5 Bobby Brown he would Destroy Suh 6.N Suh 7Rich Glover, The rest Broderick Thomas, Mike Rucker, Grant Wistrom, John Parella,Lawrence Pete, Wille Griffin.Danny Noonan, Christian Peter Jim Skow, Jason Peter

Suh hands down. But you could add Neil Smith and Broderick Thomas to the list. Thomas played D-end and linebacker. So not sure if he would qualify.

I have seen all those guys play - Glover was better than Willie Harper - but I agree Harper was a stud. Glover's game against OU alone gets him top 2. He OWNED the LOS and forced OU to throw. Suh is the best dlineman - period. I voted for him. Nice list of great players - but nobody dominated the LOS like Suh not to mention his ability to chase the play down on the backside usually with a crushing hit to the runner. Neil Smith was a fine Pro - but he was not as dominant a college player.

Demorrio Williams?? Good grief, man.

*We really need a Face Palm icon.

This. On many plays Suh looked like a giant LB chasing down a play 10-15 yards downfield. Many poor RB's who broke contain were met by a pissed off 300 pound missile ten yards downfield. Years later I saw Suh do this to some NFL running back at the end of the play. The poor running back was near the sideline and Suh was running perpendicular to the play and met him at full speed. The RB ended up landing several yards out of bounds and it looked dirty. Replays showed Suh hit him about a yard inbounds. Dude just landed several yards out of bounds. I found it after a quick Youtube search.

Enough has been said about the greatness of Suh and Glover. Also enough has been said about Demarrio (a LB that only occasionally rushed the passer) and Gregory not deserving to be on the list at all.

Only thing I'll add to ponder. Mike Rucker more deserving to be on the list over say..Tomich?

No, but rucker was damn good.
Rucker deserves to be on it before gregory thats for sure. Gregory was smoke and mirrors.

suh, but noonan and c peter could be on the list too, and maybe parrella
