Best #8 in Husker history

He wore 7

A “day early and a dollar ahead”?

Gomes almost pick 6 in the rain at Missouri was one of my favorite plays, and also favorite games. Suh had a pick that night too, and Suh also broke Gabbert’s ankle on a rag doll sack.

Oh that 09’ defense.

I'm going with CB Tyrone Williams over IB Ameer Abdullah.

Honorable Mention...
- WR Stanley Morgan, Jr.
- CB Chris Jones
- QB Zach Miller, Wahoo Neumman grad who transferred out, dominated at UNO, played a few years as a TE in the NFL before suffering a gruesome leg injury.
- WB John Gibson
- FS Tyrone Byrd
- QB Nate Mason. Unfortunately for him, we had Turner Gill.

Moments...
- Andrew Shanle as a gunner against Michigan in the 2005 Alamo Bowl, arriving right when the returner caught the ball... twice.
- Abdullah taking a KO return to the house in his first game as a Husker vs. Fresno State, a game in which we never felt comfortable.
- Nebraska fans trying to call Abdullah's game-winning TD against McNeese State a "Heisman Moment". MCNEESE STATE!

Futures Consideration: Logan Smothers Winking

Loved Tyrone Williams but I'll take Abdullah by the slimmest of margins.

Ben Rutz could join Nate Mason in the "but we had this other guy" category.
