I had heard this was actually a pretty good draw. Was it not?Committee to Nebraska:
I don't think it is a terrible draw by any means.
It was a good draw. FL isn’t typically 3 seed quality but they are this year.
When you get a weaker 1 seed, you typically have to play a tougher 3 seed. See our trip to Arky… got to play Nowtheastern if I recall correctly

I don't really think it's a bad draw by the numbers or that we were necessarily treated poorly, but at this time of year if you think it's good fortune to play Florida as a #3 then I don't know what to tell you. My gut is telling me its really bad. They played for a title last year and played the toughest schedule in the country this year. When I look at all the other #3 seeds in the tourney Florida is among 2 or 3 that I least want to play.
They are not near as good as a typical FL team. That said, plenty capable of pounding us if we play bad.

That’s the way the committee works. They award an Okie state with a top 16 seed and a home regional.But then they put teams in 2-3 that can beat them on any day of the week .
The good news is we have Sears for Game 1. Would be a really nice accomplishment to take down that Florida team.

This NU team can beat any team in this regional and get beat by anyone in this draw.. they will have to battle back now and win it thru the losers bracket.. just like they did in omaha

No, you were definitely that we didn’t play the 2023 gators. All I ever said was I thought it was unfortunate to get a 3 seed with that much talent and tourney experience and success. So I’ll ask you like you asked me - how was I wrong?

You don’t think last year’s Florida team is relevant at all? There’s nobody on that team that took any experience or confidence into this tourney from it? I know you’re Johnny Superfan but I can root for the Huskers while also understanding that getting Florida game 1 sucks. What a dumbass.
Husker fans just need to realize that we were going to have to get great performances by our players to get to the next round. We have a good but not great team
Today's game is really interesting. I assume Bolt will save MM for a potential game tomorrow, meaning Brockett or someone has to get it done. Would love to see Brocket shove again! Hopefully the bats make it easier.
I haven’t heard who he’ll start. I think we had to win yesterday to have a chance to advance but really didn’t like our chances. I just don’t think we have enough consistent offensive production. Fortunately we had some guys get hot in Omaha but that was wishful thinking IMO to believe that would continue. We had multiple guys have their best performances of the season in Omaha.
We're not really very good in the grand scheme of NCAA top level baseball. Neither is any of the entire conference.
We're as good as a bunch of teams that did better than us in regionals. We got a terrible draw, no one in the country wanted to play Florida as a #3. And, we put up a pretty good fight against them for most of two games. What we need to demand from Bolt is that he stop losing the maddening mid-week games that cost us from hosting a regional.

He really is not wrong. Husker fans thing we get screwed every time there is a bracket of some kind where it a committee is in charge, and we actually get in it for a change. A lot like how the BIG 10 is out to get the football team.
Florida was a very average team this year. Nebraska was too.
Nebraska got a great draw. They sucked and it was on them.
The toughest 3 seed was Oregon. A team ranked by like every service get put as a 3 seed is wild.
I don't think we got screwed. Florida was rightfully a 3 seed by the numbers and we drew them, no conspiracy theory or anything like that.
