Comments: First Mike Riley may be one of the best coaches in an interview I have seen consistently very well spoke.
OC-Very well done.

DC-Interview-Maybe as disappointed I have been with an interview since Bo. He really did not seem right during the entire thing.

can a coach no matter how excited say Shi- 3x in an interview?
can a coach can say we hurt their kid and we are lucky he had to leave the game ?
can a coach say I hope he was in the right place or I would have taken his blackshirt?

Just want to make sure I am not over concerned but he just did not seem well.

Eh - not exactly polished but his comments about the hurt running back were true if a bit crass.

He should probably learn to watch his language. It doesn't bother me, but I know it bothers other people.

I think your quote is a bit out of context. After being asked directly whether their back going out was significant he said something like, "Well Yes!, to tackle a guy like that you have to hit him low. We hit him low and injured him, or maybe he injured himself, I don't know. Not that we want to see anybody injured, but we were lucky he couldn't play because he was killing us with his inside runs." It was sort of awkward, but he told the truth, which I find refreshing.

I took the comment about taking Kieron's Blackshirt to be a joke (mostly). I didn't see anything wrong with it.

That was just Banker being Banker, and probably Banker on steroids after holding UO to 32 points after being abused for so many years. I certainly didn't think that interview was anything like the tortured, angry, disrespectful confrontations that were the Bo Pelini interviews.

You heard the interview, what do you think? At the end of the day, I don't care what you think. Believe me, it's about technique and doing it the right way. I mean, at the end of the day, that's who he is. Anything else?

Jeez what a messed up comment. Coaches were fried, even the HC's mind drifted for a moment during his PC.

Banker tells it like it is. Love the way he doesn't sugar coat it. Great interview!!

I absolutely friggin dig Mark Banker, especially his interviews. He tells it like it is, and he has some jokes in there, so it isn't all serious either.. You never quite know what he is going to say, but I thought it was a good interview. He almost started to get into the X's & O's, and then backed off the technical stuff. His defensive calls may not always be what people want, but I really like that guy, and he's much smarter than people give him credit for.

Actual statement was we hurt the kid. Shit said several times, several other comments not commensurate with his experience level or position. If he has a problem I hope he gets help. I have seen a lot of exited post game interviews something is off.

Original statement we hurt the kid was more of pride than factual he later did some rehab to that and that is what you are quoting above.

I agree If the consensus is happy with the presentation than I stand corrected and apologize if it was too critical. I just know a program like ours that is under the microscope and that parents of recruits watch all of these interviews as does the medial that nationally is always looking for a spin.Glad the consensus is it was OK. GBR

Nope nothing else. I agree he was excited and the original concerns I posted should be tempered. Overall well explained and organized. Thanks.

Come on guys...it is all about being super nice now
Not about nice. He did a great job today I will focus on that and the direction of the program. Posted too soon after watching first time. Thanks for your input glad consensus is that it was well done.

His was one of the best interviews from a coordinator I've ever seen. Very factual and explained what was going on during the game and explaining scheme. Consider yourself fortune he shared so much of the raw experience most of us will never get to feel or see in person.

Totally agree, I loved his interview, honest, techical, and very straightforward.

He's a football coach, that's how they talk. I personally found his interview very insightful and honest, he's also a defensive coordinator. He can afford to say sh!t.

Thanks I will defer to you great interview very protective and emotional about Tommy which, I liked. Just a few sentences that concerned me but the consensus is alright I defer to the board. Thanks.

Can we save the Banker bashing for after OSU and Michigan State? But we for sure should archive these quotes and pull them out in November.

I don't know if other college programs make their staff available to interviews outside of the head coach. I doubt he gave many interviews at OSU, you can tell Riley has done it for years

Langsdorf comes off more polished than Banker, but I appreciate Bankers honesty.

He was great, stop being a pussy, they guy is a football coach, run along professor

Nice, very constructive. Your happy with it great if there is not another problem I will be very happy. What matters is what the players think of him and how hard and well they play for him. If his schemes and game-halftime prep are up to the future challenges expected by this great state. I stand corrected.

If something like this gets worse as usual Nebraska will get a media frenzy of hate especially if we do not remain competitive in the bigger games which, I have not noticed since bid CU loss. Always a game that puts us back from two steps forward. I love this staff as a whole and am very proud of the coaches and players.

This is great win lets hope the teams we played go on to improve. I am as always a fan first and just want the program to remain, clean, respected and want anyone who comes to Lincoln to know they better prepare and will know we gave our best.

Getting the best of of these young men is talent, conditioning and game planning and play calling If they work hard and play hard for him and he defends the program and players with honor that is all I need. You should also watch who you call what. I have read your posts so no surprise I guess. See all my above posts that defer to the knowledge of the board.

Constructive, you had a completely clueless post! Just shut up and go away, the guy works his ass off for us and actually is geniune. PC people like you are pathetic. You don't like it then don't watch it or find a new team. Do everybody a favor and just stop posting.....the coaches did a hell of a job and they don't owe a whiny cry baby like you anything. Time to grow up and wake up to the real world.

Your hilarious. Now you are the fan screener. Just keep posting to other valid concerned fans not me and if you have the time read what I have posted since the onset. I sure your history is everyone else believes your posts are well thought out.

More names not facts. According to you I am a Pussy, clueless, shut up and go away, pathetic, I should not watch find a new team, stop posting whiny cry baby, bro up to the real world? I have been in and worked in a very special segment of the real world that you would not even have a chance at understanding. Your statements have given me a clear definition of you.

One good lesson is never agree with someone you do not respect so you win, you have all the answers good luck. Your excitement level of winning is nice and support of the coaches is good I hope you can continue that with respect and kindness.

I am sure somebody enjoys your opinions. I appreciate all of the other posts from experienced rational fans.

Again, you have no idea who I am, what I know, where I am from, how dedicated I am as a fan either financially or my history as a fan or anything else. You never read anything I wrote in response and that is why I posted again I will not make that mistake again. I feel sorry for you. Will explore how to block anything you say to any poster. You are just sad sir. I suggest your point is made and there is no need to continue your rant.

Moderators I have never had to ask this but please let me know how to block response or posts from Husker0028. Thank you.
