In your opinion, with the 2-2 start for Nebraska, could this be the worse year so far for the Huskers in Big Ten play, or will they take the West in a surprise of sorts? Hard to believe the season is 1/3 the way over.

I don't think anyone in the West is that good - alot depends on who gets hot at the right time and injuries. How healthy can Nebraska get for the big games coming up?

Agree with jimbo. West is wide open with a bunch of mediocre teams fighting to get baby seal clubbed by OSU in the title game. If we win the west, I think it will be because everybody got healthy, and if they don't stay that way the title game could get ugly.

Maybe it comes down to the last game of the year to decide who goes to the title game. And Jimbo is right about those injuries, hopefully Nebraska can at least maintain health the rest of the way. And I'm not so sure tOSU gets back to the title game.

I wouldn't be so sure it will be osu...or even msu...if Michigan continues to improve offensively to complement their D...they could be a sleeper.

Michigan is very intriguing and I will be watching them, but right now I would say OSU is the clear favorite. Michigan State is also interesting, but my money is on OSU to represent.

Michigan will probably only lose one more game the rest of the way...I just have this feeling that their defense will be really nasty

Winners of Iowa/Wisc & Minn./NW will be the favorites - especially Iowa/Wisc. They're playing the most solid all around of the West teams.

till i see iowa beat a good team wouldnt give them any credit. if nebraska played iowa schedule they would be 4-0 and btn would be talking how good nebraska is. when your 2 toughest non conference games are an iowa state team that probaply wins 2 games this year and beat pitt at home on a 57 yard fg at the end of the game. pitt is likely a 6-6 type of team. minnesota 3 wins 10-7 to kent state. ill beat kent state 52-3. they ohio 27-24 and got a bad call against ohio at the end. 23-20 in overtime against colorado state.

The west is likely to fall to the east regardless of what happens. MSU, Michigan and OSU of course, all have teams that are clearly superior in talent to everyone else. Michigan State would be my money pick right now.
OSU, has a lot of pressure and although they are clearly the most talented, they aren't unbeatable.
Michigan doesn't have the offense to win against either MSU or OSU. Their defense is good, if not on the verge of being dominant, but they need a QB that compliments their weapons.
MSU, is the most complete team next to OSU, but they are hungier IMO, and I believe they want it more.

The west is between us, Iowa, Wiscy and NW for now. I believe those 3 teams are on equal terms right now.

We can win the west, or be near the bottom. It comes down to health, and getting any type of decent play out of our secondary.

Any of Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota or Northwestern could win the West as of today. Let the fun begin!
