not sure what impact that has on N, if any?

Auburn has fired coach Bryan Harsin

Such a surprise! NOT. The more coaches get fired, the more competition there is for hiring replacements.

I would think Auburn would be where Matt Rhule lands. Best open job.
Based on what? It being in the SEC? Auburn is a program much like Arkansas, Mississippi and Mississippi St in that will always be behind Texas A&M, LSU and Alabama in the prestige area. The fan base has an over inflated self value. They catch lightning in a bottle once in a while. They are soon to be behind Texas and Oklahoma in that category as well.

I think they would go after a winner in the SEC like Kiffin. Or maybe a wildcard high ceiling splash hire like Prime Time.

Id love for Nebraska to catch lightning in a bottle just one more time

is Auburn above Ole Miss?
Sort of, I mean historically speaking Ole Miss is a 500ish program with like 30 bowl games all time, not that big of a deal.

You can win a NC at either school, Ole Miss is way less pressure from fans and boosters (t seems) and Oxford seems like a nicer place to live but I have not been to either place personally.

I feel like Auburn might just be a touch "better", maybe just because of the money?

Based on recruiting and talent alone. If you're Lane Kiffin or Matt Rhule or Urban Meyer, where would you go? Nebraska or Auburn?

Please answer objectively.

I have already stated that it will be easier to win a division title at Nebraska than it would be at Auburn or Ole Miss.
Now yes but in 24 and on I think the Big 10 divisions will become PODS and if its geography based we might see USC and UCLA quite a bit

Auburn plays second fiddle to a bunch of schools in their geographic area and conference and has fired successful coaches left and right. There are many, many candidates that would not be interested in Auburn. There are also many that will think they can out-recruit and beat the Alabamas, Georgias, and LSUs.

Thanks for the answer. I would have to disagree going forward. USC and UCLA are entering the conference and will likely be in the West, if the West still exists after 2024.

These days, coaches go where they never have to board a plane to recruit. Lincoln Riley left Oklahoma to go to USC. Brian Kelly left Notre Dame to go to LSU. I never say never but I think it's highly unlikely any of those coaches we've been hearing about would choose NU over Auburn.

Someone like Matt Rhule would kill it at Auburn. Similar to what Josh Heupel is doing at Tennessee.

Ruhle didn’t even kill it at Baylor. Heupel is having a hell of a year. Let’s see what he does in the long term.

Mickey Joseph AND VINCE GUINTA should INSTANTLY be contacting a couple of their recruits at positions of need and get them here for an official visit. I know there's a couple I've spoken to that would like to visit

Because thats the world nebraska lives in today. nebraska is no longer a coveted job. its baically been a basement dweller in the west, a career killer for coaches, and is out of tune with reality. nebraska will make its pick after wisonsin, auburn, & asu make theirs.

Id agree on Auburn but Wisconsin has their guy and I think we get ours before ASU

Get lost creepy nut job from another fan base.

That will also help get back to a more traditional recruitment area, California. Will it help, hopefully.

You must know a lot about basement dwelling, why don't you move out and leave your parents alone!
