if there was some way riley could tell armstrong it's ok to pass to keep us in the game, but glory passes have to stop. like the interception at miami and the one that kept illinoise in the game.

the main goal is to win games, not try and win games passing. there's a difference there.
forcing dumb passes, is the opposite of winning games.

I suggest more film for armstrong to understand his limits and stay inside of them. there's still to much winging it going on. the last pass was a result of not understanding clock control in the game. this seems like a lack of communication between the coaches and player…so I can't blame armstrong 100% on that one..

Actually I can blame Armstrong. He's a 20 something adult who should be able to understand RUN the ball and under NO circumstances throw the ball. It's really very simple.

well Im wondering if they specifically told him that, at the time or if thats just the play design?

I agree and would add one thing - Tommy appeared to panic in the face of their blitz. Our RB seemed surprised that it was even thrown, let alone at it. Think it was Ozigbo.

Whether or not he was told to tun no matter what isk, but the play design was pass. OL was pass protect and all receivers were running routes.

Ozigbo said he was expecting it to be thrown. Makes me think the staff didnt communicate very well to the players.
