Armed Forces Bowl!

This one would be my preference. But thats just one projection. I have also seen NU projected to the Pinstripe and Foster Farms Bowls.

yuck...for the players either San Fran or NYC is a much better option...SF would be good for recruiting too. Ft Worth in late December is a potential weather mess...at least the other 2 cities offer something to do

Right! Cause there's not jack squat to do in the DFW area and there are no fertile recruiting grounds near by. o_O

Compared to NYC and the Bay area DFW is a crap hole....We are targeting quite a few California kids that could easily get to the game and playing in the site of this years Super Bowl is a pretty cool payoff for a miserable season

Have you been to DFW lately? Honest question. I live there and I love it. I've been to NYC and hate it. Never been to the Bay Area.

As always, NU is in on a lot of TX kids as well and further more, I'd guess there are a lot of players that would have an additional opportunity to see family in NU went to DFW.

I'm hoping for a Dec 26 game, because I'd possibly be able to go with my sons. 28th or later they can't due to basketball. So that'd be NY or SF.

I know Nebraska has a large alumni in Cali, but is that mostly south or is there a good amount in NoCal?

Which would be the easiest for travel for fans? Probably Ft Worth?

Ft Worth would be cheapest option (if you can get in...ice is a mofo that time of year )...A plane ticket to NYC or SF around ChristamaHanaKwanzaa would not be cheap

We just took a cruise this past spring outta Galveston. The drive was a piece of cake!

Most importantly, we need to use the opportunity to recruit, and Texas and California offer more quality recruits than New York.

I'd 100% agree with that. More reason, outside of the fact the the DFW Bowl is a lower tier, for us to want to go. More NU fans would attend that than NYC and potentially SF. Just a guess thou.

A lot of Husker fans here in DFW, would be awesome if they played here. Easy drive from Neb if weather is not an issue.

Is there really a difference between the 8th and 9th tier bowl games? We need a win....and we need fans to travel. Dallas would be great.

Unfortunately most of December is a dead period for recruiting, so they wouldn't be able to go out recruiting while at the bowl site/game.

They would however be able to have many recruits show up at the game to watch.
POB, Grim, & Dismuke are from Cali and could attend a SF bowl game.
Plenty of Texas recruits could come as well.
Quayshon Alexander could go to the NYC bowl.

Recruits everywhere.

Yup, the Dead Period is from December 14 - January 13th, so that pretty much covers all the bowl games. But like you said, it would be good to line up a number of potential recruits to show up at the bowl game.

I know I'm being selfish (because I live here), but I would love the game to be in Fort Worth. Definitely would attend that game if we get an AFB invite. Just attended my first NU home game in 26 years and the weather can't be worse than the Iowa game.
