Huh? He is 7 of 9 this year, with one of the two misses being a 56 yarder that Coach Riley takes the blame for. Since the middle of last season he is 16 of 18. He is 3rd in made FGs in program history. What more do you want from the guy? Does he have to be perfect?Uh, no. DONT learn from brown........
Don't mind the dumb people.Huh? He is 7 of 9 this year, with one of the two misses being a 56 yarder that Coach Riley takes the blame for. Since the middle of last season he is 16 of 18. He is 3rd in made FGs in program history. What more do you want from the guy? Does he have to be perfect?
51 –– Junior kicker Drew Brown connected on a career-long 51-yard field goal in the fourth quarter, bettering his 50-yard field goal against Southern Miss in 2015.Uh, no. DONT learn from brown........
Dumb post, unless you meant Josh Brown.Uh, no. DONT learn from brown........
Unless the punter is a kicker alsoDidn't we spend a scholarship on both a kicker and a punter in Riley's first class?
Bo recruited Drew Brown in the 2014 class as a sholarship kicker.
In Riley's 2015 class we gave a scholarship to a punter, a kicker and a snapper. Only one of which (Ober) sees the field.
We then gave a scholarship to Lightbourne in the 2016 class.
That's 5 scholarships to specialists on the books for next year.
Don't see how we can justify another scholarship spent on kicking this class.
God Bruce Read sucks.
Were are you getting that? Brown, Ober and Lightbourne are the only specialists on schollie...if you are talking about Sutcliffe (sp?) he was/is a walk-on.
Yep. My mistake. The commitment list also had Issac Armstrong as a scholarship guy, but both of their Huskers.com bios say walkon.
Ok, but one problem, Kris Brown is Drews brother, not Josh, so either way piper is derping. Loltheir talking about the relationship with Josh Brown of course. one cannot choose their family. knock it off

So many browns, lol, what can Brown do for you?Oops, you forgot Uncle Ralph Brown
How could I forget. Geez. Their uncle Todd Brown was a great player here too.Oops, you forgot Uncle Ralph Brown

Uh, no. DONT learn from brown........
With Sutcliffe/Lindsay being seniors and Brown being a senior in 2017, it'll be interesting to see what they do this February or will they wait until the next class?
I bet he does, it just sucks we don't have a lot of scholarships to give out this year. This
I am a little surprised we haven't heard anything but I'm sure Riley has a plan
I bet we take a full class of 25 this year. I know Riley said 22, but my guess is 3 more will be saved for guys that you accept commits from no matter what. But, there are so many holes to fill, they may not have room for any specialists.I bet he does, it just sucks we don't have a lot of scholarships to give out this year.
Lmao.Ok, but one problem, Kris Brown is Drews brother, not Josh, so either way piper is derping. Lol
Thanks Bruce Read.I was just commenting last week how pleasantly surprised I've been with Brown's consistency. When he first started kicking here, I was a little concerned that he didn't have much accuracy and also not a big leg as it seemed like his max was around 40 yards early on. Well, he's proven me wrong. He not only has a nice leg but he's mighty accurate. Glad he's on the team for another year.
Ha!Thanks Bruce Read.
give him a redshirt year and learn from brown..
Exactly. What a novel idea, coach up and develop the players you have available on the roster and then maybe fans won't complain about their lack of talent. Thanks Bruce Read.

Worry and doubt is fine. There was a significant contingent on here clamoring to "yank his scholarship" his freshman year. I thought it was ludicrous and unfair. Oh well, I think he has proven them wrong, and like you, I'm glad he is around now and next year.
