Apparently Bo Pelini is the reason Scott Frost failed

According to this well thought up theory. If only Pelini had given Frost the O.C job back in 2011, he would have been prepared to be the savior of Husker football. Forget the fact he didn't go straight into the job with no experience. Little sample I know, but if only that horrible Pelini had given him the playcalling responsibilities back in '11. You might have a Dabo Sweeney leading the charge in Lincoln( come to think of it, Dani was a position coach before being promoted to head coach).
Probably should have spent more time doing his job. You know preparation, and player evaluation.

I actually wonder if SF had been named HC for 2015 season after Bo if he would have done better. Conference was easier players were used to winning more and he would have been forced to hire real assistants. Not sure if it would have made a difference because SF had personal demons, I think but might have been better.

Regardless I would not blame Bo for this because before the 2011 season SF had never been the OC.

Bo was a good (not great) coach at Nebraska. His undoing was his mouth and not winning any big games that mattered.

That being said, he was light years ahead of Scott Frost who is the worst Nebraska coach of the modern era. Frost is the worst ever at Nebraska IMO. Frost was all talk and never backed it up with any wins. He left this program in such shambles that the next coach is going to have a big hole to dig us out of.

This is PORN for a few posters...I won't name any names...but he/she will be posting here shortly.

I was fine to move on from bo(although I would have hoped they had a home run hire lined up when firing a 9-3 coach), but some people just hate him irrationally. Yeah he sucked in big games, but at least the program had big games under bo. There have been no big games these past six years.

saying it was his fault is a stretch, but not hiring Frost as OC still feels like a misstep

if he was terrible, it would've been so much easier to cut ties with him, the way OU did with Heupel and avoid the colossal expectations that came with him being our "savior"

According to this well, thought up theory, Scott Frost failed because of 1 simple thing.

Work ethics.

I think he would have been more humble at least, but other than that, probably would have turned out exactly the same.
