If the fires go out, the air becomes fine very rapidly. CA got some rain and it pretty well ended those.
Doesn't look like substantial rain in the forecast for OR this week, but that can change quickly.
So what do all the people that live there do?
And is that supposed to happen? It hasn't rained in the mid-valley since middle of May. It probably won't start getting any substantial rain until late Sept or middle October. I don't see it changing quickly between now and Saturday.
Best case scenario is strong winds come from the coast to blow it toward Idaho.
It's more likely for the wind to come from the coast, than it is to rain. And is that supposed to happen?
And is the air quality so serious right now that it would be dangerous to the players if the game was played in Eugene?
You play the game in Seattle at Century link field or you play in Lincoln
No matter what? Even if the conditions stay like they are currently?Just play the game.
You guys could always play them Saturday December 2nd.
But seriously, hopefully the air clears up for everyone's sake.
Hope they figure something out soon as we fly out of Omaha Thursday noon to Portland. Got some major dollars invested with airfare, lodging and tickets. Not sure what will happen.
I'm glad you could take time off from the Hawkeye board to post here. I've seen your discussions there and I'm not gonna put these Husker fans through your painful anecdotes. For a team whose offense looked like garbage, you're sure crowing a lot. We dropped 57 points on that 101st ranked Wyoming defense last year, with Tommy Armstrong at the helm. I doubt they have improved that much to be able to hold you to 24 points. Meanwhile our offense put up 43 on the 19th ranked defense from last year last Saturday.
I would say Iowa looked at least as bad on offense as we did on defense. And you haven't gone through wholesale changes on offense like we have on defense. Maybe Jr. isn't all that as a coordinator.
Yeah that's crap. Could things really change that much from Friday to Saturday? They are now saying they will make the decision Saturday AM. That doesn't seem fair to the fans traveling accross the country.
Beat me to it. My thoughts exactlyYeah that's crap. Could things really change that much from Friday to Saturday?

It was raining ash in Seattle today and the air quality is as bad as Oregon. There is an off shore wind that is supposed to start Thursday hopefully most of this stuff blows east by then , however this is very bad all over the PAcific northwestYou play the game in Seattle at Century link field or you play in Lincoln
Good luck, I'm sure you'll have a blast.I hope not. On a plane right now getting ready to fly out for the game.
Unless that stadium is in danger of starting on fire, yes you play.No matter what? Even if the conditions stay like they are currently?
I don't see how you can say that. If it is unsafe, it would be irresponsible to play. People aren't even supposed to go outside right now. The Oregon team has moved their practices.Unless that stadium is in danger of starting on fire, yes you play.
I agree.I think Saturday morning decision means it will not be moved. It will be cancelled, kick-off time changed - MAYBE moved to Sunday?

They will be extremely tired from jet lag from flying back from Italy. A Cornhusker win for sure. The Register-Guard
Due to the hazardous air quality in Eugene, Oregon's coaches and players loaded onto three buses and traveled to Florence for Tuesday's practice.
