on the radio he didn't sound mad, but he wasn't super upbeat either.. he sounded matter of fact, all business.
Careful, around here "reality" mixes with red koolaid about as well as oil & water.NU fans need to face up to reality. When was the last time we had a husker team that had few penalties, few turnovers, ran the ball well, caught most passes, blocked well, got pressure on the qb. We have not won a conference title in 19 years! We have been a mediocre program for 14 years... I fully expect us to play like we did today, since we have done so pretty consistently for the last 120 games. I can count 5 games in the last 100 where we looked like a top team. NU fans need to be happy we won by 35 regardless of opponent. We are going to lose at least 4 games this year, and it will probably be a successful season. Just reality, we are a mediocre program, slightly above average players and coaches, with below average depth, and really great fans and facilities. Sadly great fans and facilities don't play against OSU on the road.

Mediocre? Hardly. While we haven't won a conference title since Frank, a whole bunch of other teams haven't. We played for one under Cally and two under Pelini. Mediocre, at times. Good, yes. Excellent, at times.
He's been like this for a few weeks now. Actually since coach Williams arrest he's been all business.on the radio he didn't sound mad, but he wasn't super upbeat either.. he sounded matter of fact, all business.
Good point. His tone did seem to change back then. I don't think it is any cause for concern, it's just a lot of moving parts to try to keep under control and going in a positive direction. He knows we have to continue to get better. He's been like this for a few weeks now. Actually since coach Williams arrest he's been all business.
I agree. So far we're 2-0 against inferior teams but we blew both out and have improved each game. The personal foul penalties are a problem but IMO the pre snap penalties were a bigger problem. And we have improved in that area. I keep asking have the calls been like this for other games? Or is this just Mountain West officiating trying to keep Nebraska from being aggressive? Because the Personal foul calls have been pretty ticky tack IMO.Good point. His tone did seem to change back then. A great quote I remember from Carl Peleni " I never apologize for a win"We won. Let that sink in. We freakin' won. I know it's a disappointment. We won. It didn't go as you planned. We went ahead and won the damn game. We won. I just wish we had lost this game just for you. We won. We won the game. Who would've believed that against Wyoming. We won. Every time that Gerry cradled that ball when he missed one catch. We won. From the first snap to the last. We won. Feels good, mang.
I will take the unders on that 4 loss bet.NU fans need to face up to reality. Unfortunately I agree. We all keep hanging onto hope this once great program will turn that corner and return to greatness. Same song and dance year after year. High hopes, then reality sets in by game 5 or 6, just another average team. We need to start realizing that after almost 2 decades of crappy team after crappy team,we are just an average team and more than likely always will be. A 9 win season is now the best we will get. Eventually all of us that have lived through the great years, will be replaced by those that have never seen it. Nebraska football will be an after thought, a blip on the college football radar. A team that once was but will never be again. Yes it sounds gloom and doom, but it is becoming reality weather we all want to accept it or not. Just take a step back, we are living in a time where everyone is excited about playing the #22 in the country. Hoping we can get a win, if we can many will consider that a "huge" win. Really? That should show how bad it has gottenNU fans need to face up to reality. Let's just shut the program down then, huh? I mean why keep pouring money into something that will never produce fruit?Unfortunately I agree. For real... Never seen anything like this from a "fan"...Let's just shut the program down then, huh? I mean why keep pouring money into something that will never produce fruit?
And really, why do you bother following a team that is so downtrodden? Are you some kind of masochist? This has to literally be the most stupid, asinine, waste of space on a computer screen I have seen in 13 years on this board. And that's saying a lot. Reality, huh? Well, nobody made you God. You don't get to decide what is reality. Go away, find another team that pleases you, quit the blind negative crap and leave the real fans alone. You are a thorough and complete embarrassment that you even dare to wear the name "Husker" for your screen name.
I think he thinks he's a fan, but he's probably been living a lie all his life. No fan of any team says that kind of stuff. It's like he grew up as a fan and wishes he hadn't and is trying to find someway to convince himself to leave. I hope he does. I'm not exaggerating either when I say it is the stupidest post I have seen in more than 13 years on here. I would also add on any message board. Never have I read such defeatist nonsense anywhere. For real... Never seen anything like this from a "fan"...
I do think Husker2612 is legitimately a fan, he's been around long enough I don't think he's a troll. But man, this is bad...
