Anybody else just sick and tired of "sources"?

I swear I'm the only one in this world that doesn't seem to have a source about all of this. All of it is just getting irritating and the more "sources" that come out with their thoughts the more I'm getting tired of hearing it all and am just waiting to see something become official. All this tweeting about phantom phone calls, covert meetings and rumors about which coach turned down Florida this week are getting tiresome. I can't wait until we get a new coach, Frost or not (but yeah, Frost).

My "source" claims that Frost is coming here. There. I just had a friend tell me that so I could claim I had a "source". Woohoo, I am on record now!

Only from unreliable people. That’s the deeper problem imo. Too many people think they’re entitled to weigh in on the matter when their source might be garbage or completely fabricated. I don’t have a problem with real journalists whose careers are affected by passing along misinformation relaying information from “sources.”

Do people seriously come here looking for reliable sources in a time like this?

FACT: I didn't see one single thread with the name Moos in it for AD. How did that happen? It was kept quiet among those in the know. Everyone was making their top 5 lists or whatever, all the while the admin was doing their job.

FACT: We do not know who all was contacted when Riley was hired. Everyone wants to throw out names or no names and say it was a one man gig. The reality is no one on here knows for sure but it makes people feel better that they are right by saying SE only talked to one person. You can't be wrong in that case, no one to challenge you on it, Logically, does it make sense?

FACT: Moos said Riley deserved to coach the team until the end of the season. True to his word he did that. No matter, he was hounded on here for not making the decision public to fire Riley immediately. Still, he stuck to his word and I admire that. Why hire an AD and have the AD say this is how I do things, lay it all out and then criticize him when he doesn't break the plan? Weird

FACT: No one knows the contents of personal phone calls. Tom calls Scott and tells him to come home! We must have some watergate stuff going on here. First of all, does anyone really think Tom would say that to Scott - come home. I can see Scott calling him up and talking to him about the job. Heck, before I took some admin jobs I called former administration people I knew that worked there I trusted. This is not so unusual that they would have a conversation. The content of that conversation could be about beating Memphis for all we know.

FACT: I am to the point where I don't think anyone knows much of anything as FACT including me and the FACTS I just laid out so just ignore them too! I just read this for entertainment purposes reading who will be the best fit for the O SF runs when most on here have no clue what the O really is all about. Advising SF which coaches to keep is my favorite though. I guess that is why it is an opinion board so everyone can have an opinion but no one actually has to be right do they? Have fun and enjoy.

Agreed, none of us has any effect or input on the decision that Bill Moos is going to make. The entire state just needs to cool their heels and let this thing play out. Whatever happens, happens and we'll just have to live with that decision.

Message boards without anonymous sources are called newspapers. You're in the wrong spot if you want to avoid buddies with insider info. Just skip the gossip boards and wait until the Lincoln Journal-Star has the hiring announcement.

You REALLY need to step away from your device and read a book or something. It amazes me when people blame Facebook, Twitter, TV shows & the Interwebs for their frustrations. These things are just tools to be used by humans. Use a tool wrong, and you'll not like the outcome. Get a grip of how you use your device and you'll be a happier person.
