Was listening to it on radio last night. I thought I heard DiNardo say that, and I am paraphrasing, there no reason Purdue, with the right hire, couldn't consistently have #1 recruiting class in the West.

Did I hear that right? I realize the right hire is the key word there but my goodness.

They are doing a huge upgrade, I know that. And they are really close to some talent rich areas. PJ Fleck has been getting really good classes for his school, it makes you wonder if a guy like that could start grabbing pretty solid classes at Purdue.

#1 on a consistent basis, not sure about that...but top 3...I could see that.

Saban it is.
Yeah, no kidding. Unless he's expecting Nick Saban or Urban Meyer to decide they want the challenge of coaching at Purdue, that isn't happening.
I guess in a way that's true of any program-they could have great recruiting classes every year with the right coaching hire, the problem is that Purdue has no chance of making that hire.

Unfortunately the BTN channel is a bag of boredom! Dinardo tries hard to come up with witty material, but misses by miles and miles. The whole group on BTN are as dry as the moon's surface. They're too busy falling all over Michigan and Ohio State, me thinks there are only 2 teams in the conference per BTN.

You sure he didn't say there is no reason they couldn't have the #1 recruiting class in western Indiana ?

He used to be high on us. So what happened?
My gut instinct is that he does not like Riley. His snide comment after visiting one practice about our "soft PAC 12" approach to practice was telling.

I reminded him of that statement recently and he responded that was a mistake since he never coached in the PAC 12. I personally love their shows and sense of humor. Who isn't wrong a lot when making so many predictions on the record?

Going to start paying him to take the opposite side of my bets

Chances are pretty good that what Dinardo said will not come to pass.

Yeah I watched it and almost fell out of my chair. If Purdue gets a great recruiter for a head coach they could have the best recruiting class every year in the West? Whaaaaaat? That guy is honestly one of the most delusional idiots in all of college football. Terrible analyst.

You do realize that the BTN has to say good things about all the member institutions, right? What else are you going to say about Purdue that is positive?
