Skill position:
There has been a huge upgrade in talent at the skill positions over the past two recruiting cycles. The only Skill position that has not been upgraded dramatically is Cornerback.
Offense and Defensive Lines
The offensive line has some highly rated upper classmen that are performing poorly. I am hoping that the change in nutrition, work outs, coaching, and accountability will show major improvements next season. If so…. We will definitely have the skill players to take advantage. We need several high caliber high school and a two impact Junior college recruits here next year.
The defensive line is a major concern. They were manhandled and played like school girls last year during the biggest games. They have the furthest to go…. If they can improve in the same regard as the Offensive line, the linebackers are going to be deadly. This position (along with CB) is the biggest area of concern for 2019. It would be nice to find a Juco monster to plug in here as well..
The area with the highest potential for improvement next year should be:
The Linebackers- What an incredible upgrade to the roster… Wow.
The Running Backs- The new scheme will change their assignments and will get them out in space more frequently. The addition of the new incoming 2018 recruits will give this coaching staff the ability to execute this part of their offense quite well. I think we are going to see some fun times next year out of this new set of stallions.
The area I am hoping for the greatest improvement is:
The Offense and Defensive lines - If these two areas make the biggest improvement on the team, everything else will fall into place.
