So this isn't a place to learn about the players and coaching staff? Where can I go to read up on them then so I can talk to peers?
GBI is one of the most active On3 communities out there actually. I read plenty there.
They aren't paying his buyout. It's like 20 mil. Every iu fan knows he is back barring a 1 win season.
We've sank to talking smack with a Purdue fan. In the offseason. A Purdue fan. What a fun league. FML
Nope. This is a place where 1 guy is going to tell you this is a 4 win team at most because the OLine sucks. Then another is going to tell you that this team is going to win 10 games. Then a few are going to tell you that Nebraska will be 6-6. You will have nothing but opinions from 1 end of the spectrum to the other, from one position group to another. Some will be overly excited about Matt Rhule and some will think the hire was poor. Some will tell you that the 3-3-5 is going to get blasted by the power running teams, then others will say it is going to be fine.
Again if you want to read a bunch of opinions with very few facts so you can "talk to peers" I am not sure this is the place to get accurate info.
I have no idea WTF a GBI is, so I will assume it is some sort of Purdue site. I just know that this place is fairly active and I don't read all of the threads on here, so I wouldn't have time to be on another team's board.

I think Rhule is a good hire. Probably 5-7 wins this year for Nebraska and Purdue imo. GBI is the former rivals Purdue site, now on3 and connected to boiler alliance (NIL collective)

Back to the original subject of the thread. No way in hell are coaches giving these interviews.
Agreed. Way too wordy. I don't think an opposing coach would be talking about the big picture of our program.
The only one I remember was when supposedly someone called us the all-bus team, and they knew it was only a matter of time before we shot ourselves in the foot. I could see someone saying that … I don’t feel any of these descriptions were off the record coach speak.
The all-bus team would have been from an actual observation. I have a hard time believing that a coach in the Big 10 knows that Rhule has re-energized the culture. Without playing any games what are they basing that on? The newspaper?
These guys all know each other or they know guys that know guys. You are looking at a network of about 1000 D1 coaches or so that are on staffs.
I know they love to pretend how professional and buttoned up they all are but the times they get to be themselves is when they are talking to other coaches because they are all in the same boat.
You should see it at the HS level. You say one thing to your players and then when you chat with other coaches you are honest. "We are gonna suck this year"
I don't even coach FB anymore and in the last week have gotten texts from other coaches ripping on their team or ripping on teams they saw at camps.
Could Lindy's be making it up? Sure. Of course. But to think that D1 coaches are not regular people like the rest of us, well, they are.
Were any of your hawkeye neighbors/friends part the group of adult iowa fans trying to wrestle the heroes trophy away from the husker players at Kinnick last season???
Truth. I was at the NU Indiana game in 2016 . Tailgating they were more concerned how the BB scrimmage was going than the football game was going to turn out.
I have a good friend that teaches out in Bloomington, dude lives like 4 blocks from campus and said on FB game days he can't even tell a game is going on.
Correct. They root for ND. But the few there are, they aren't paying for fire Allen. Run a clean program and wait for the buyout to drop.

Um - I’m not an idiot and know the event happened. When I said my friends and neighbors were good people and sensible adults - i think it would go without saying that I didn’t know any of these knuckleheads. Every fan base has a small percentage of jackasses. Take yourself for example for our fan base. It’s a sad but true reality.
You’re nearly as amusing as your hawkeye buddies. You can’t find any stories of Nebraska fans behaving that way towards iowa fans or players. The mere existence of husker football in the bigten triggers most of them to no end.
