Andy Janovich looking strong again...

Andy delivers great blocks everytime he is in the game. has carried the ball less than 4 times the entire season i believe.

No kidding… At least he's cashing nice checks though.
Unbelievable wear and tear on a rb in the NFL; a few years on a team brings a pension and ever increasing benefits. Not to mention these young men are growing to full physical maturity. So there are some wins here for all.

Be nice to see Rex go to a team where he actually gets more touches. Buried in Cincy.

Rex would probably be buried at most NFL teams. He's a perfect special teams player, that can help out in multiple positions if injuries warrant. Solid player, but not anywhere close to NFL starter.

If Danny Woodhead can almost be a every down player in the NFL, I know Burkhead can too. Same with Jano. Woodhead has started a few games hasn't he? With New England probably.

Don't fully disagree, but Danny Woodhead's skillset exceeds Rex. I get it, Rex is a great guy, and is a hell of a football player, but his character doesn't elevate his actual football skill. Woodhead has more speed and more wiggle, and kills it in the offense that utilizes him coming out of the backfield, and not being a pounder. Woodhead wouldn't be an everydown back in say Seattle. I'm just saying that Rex is not a premiere back, and that at probably every NFL team there would be someone better.

Jano is already an every down player, and is a stud, but he shouldn't be the featured back (mike alstot type). He is great in Kubiak's system, and should continue to light it up.

Speaking of a fullback, how many carries have Nebraska's full-backs had this year compared to last year with Janovich?

I haven't had the chance to watch more than a couple games this year but listening on the radio I do not recall hearing about our fullback getting very many carries and honestly I am not sure who our main full-backs even are at this point...

I'm sure it's fewer carries this year, but remember Janovich only got 42 carries last season - a whopping 3.2 per game. It only seemed like a lot because he was no longer completely glued to the bench.

Wow. That doesn't seem like very many at all...

I suppose it helped that he could bust a long run now and then.

Well it was a boatload of carries compared to the three, zero and zero he racked up in his three years under the previous regime. But otherwise, not a tremendous amount.
