Baylor is an interesting pick to win it all.
Phil Steele has Deion and Frost in a tie for 12th place in the Big 12, out of 16.

I think that's one reason why he likes Colorado- because he can come and go as he pleases. He delegates. He has other interests and Colorado let's him do it. He's the CEO figure head, the tone setter, the personality. In truth, there are other CEOs and leaders in the business world doing the same thing year around. At least Deon puts in an honest work week during the season. Then why is he in Texas and not Colorado during this illness? I think he likes coaching in practice and games. The rest of the stuff he hates, like recruiting and being up there to do the BS daily stuff. I truly believe that if he could, he would be in Boulder for the time needed to conduct the 15 spring practices and then come back for the first day of fall camp and be gone as soon as the regular season or bowl game is over.
Say what you want about the Big 12 not being big time, but there's not a patsy in that entire conference. Every single team in that conference has played decent football in the recent past. Arizona is at the bottom of the conference and they had a 1st and high 2nd round player drafted this year and had another 1st rounder last year.
I thought he was referring to living in the state. Of course he likes the job, who wouldn't? As you said he comes and goes as he pleases, he doesn't go on the road to recruit, he isn't there for the offseason workouts, doesn't have to do anything with the media. Like I said, he would be there for spring ball, fall camp and the season, if that is all he needed to be there for.I think that's one reason why he likes Colorado- because he can come and go as he pleases. He is at his ranch in Dallas according to the article. I doubt the medical care in Canton, Tx is that much better than what he can get in Boulder/ Denver area. It's not uncommon for rich people to live in multiple locations and like each one of them. My guess however is that he's in Texas for the medical care. Now I don't really care but I haven't seen anything indicating he hates being in Colorado. As I recall the Colorado location was one of the attractions for him to taking the job.
Boulder is an outdoor mecca and most people who are willing to pay the premium to live there do so for the approximity to hiking, elevation trail running, skiing, mountain biking, climbing, etc. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Deion hasn't emmersed himself in that part of the Boulder lifestyle. He is there solely, as others have said , because he has full reign to do whatever he wants even when it rubs the CU faithful wrong, like retiring Shedeur's jersey before many more deserving players in the program's history.I think that's one reason why he likes Colorado- because he can come and go as he pleases. I was in Boulder like 15 years ago and ended up at this friend of a friends place. The house was a total shit hole but the guy kept telling me how it was amazing because he lived so close to some street, Pearl Street I think?Let’s be honest
For as “inclusive” and “diverse” as Boulder loves to say it is, Deion is not (and has never been) welcome
Boulder’s primary population today are people who were born and raised and inherited there. Nobody is willingly paying the premium to live there unless it’s with 3 roommates.
