When he took Penn States job he kept Larry Johnson and Ron Vanderlinden on as assistant coaches from the previous staff. Not saying he is getting the job but if he did I could see him keeping a couple of guys like Joseph and Busch.

Larry Johnson was a no-brainer. He was quite simply the greatest recruiter on Penn State's staff and one of the best recruiters nationally. He was also one hell of a great defensive coach. I can tell you since I live out here that when he bolted for Ohio State there was almost as much consternation in these parts as when Paterno was fired. He was that important. Mickey Joseph and Bill Busch in no way approximate everything that Larry Johnson brought to the table. O'Brien would have been a complete fool to fire him.
