Did anyone see this guy?

I thought ut was bad
First off, no, "meh" is not the appropriate response to this. What is wrong with the world where it is acceptable to depict a President being killed?? This is what terrorists in the Middle East do.
Second, yes, the fact that he is black does work into this equation due to the historical reference of lynchings and hangings of black people.
If anyone defends this dumbass, I question your motives.
If the Orange guy was the one being depicted in this manner, somehow I doubt there'd be much outrage.
Well, this got the day off to an interesting start....
Freedom of speech IS a valued and critical thing...having said that, freedom of speech does carry time honored responsibilities that we learned in third grade. And while I think ALL presidents/politicians are fair game, there ARE historical ramifications to lynching that elude white America...in fact, we are studying that right now.
So...have a good day....think about the things we do and say, and I'm pointing that at me...
I never said he wasn't free to do so under law. But I do think it is horse shit to celebrate it. It's classless and if anyone would be proud of their kid doing that then they would be part of the problem.
Leave the imagery of hanging a President to the terrorists. Don't encourage that shit here.
For the record, please don't assume what I would or would not do based on the party affiliation of the person being depicted. I thought George W was an awful President, but I was raised to respect the office of the President and I would be equally disgusted if someone depicted the same against him or a black Republican (hypothetically). If it was a black Republican ..you phonies wouldn't say jack.
I think if you're spending money to attend a Saturday night college football game, between two top 10 teams, with the solitary goal of making a political statement, you're probably a giant loser.
What about the college athletes that are doing it and it's okay? Just happened at NU, are they losers? See how touchy we make everything.
Are you a communist or something? This is America. There is freedom of speech
I'm black ..so I have no motive ..sorry I don't need your pat on the head.
I've read a number of his posts too. Here's how I see it. Jeans is taking exception to the hypersensitivity and uber P.C. world which almost always plays the race card, regardless of the merits of any given situation. I suspect Jeans sees such a reaction and treatment as counter-productive and, on some level, insulting and demeaning. Constantly ramming the narrative down the country's throat that "you're getting screwed if you're a minority" makes things worse, not better. Nobody should forget the past; I don't think he literally meant that what has happened isn't important, but rather, to keep grinding and look ahead. Just my observations - Jeans, correct me if I'm wrong. After reading a lot of your posts. I doubt you're black at this point, which might seem petty of me, but your ignorance is staggering. I don't hate anybody today for the plights of the past, but for you to continue to dismiss oppression and it's effects probably makes you the most naive black man to ever walk the earth.
I suggest you make a trip to D.C. to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture, but in your world the museum has no place because it reminds of the past, holds black people back, etc. Actually it's an educational tool, utilize it.
As far as the effigy, as you see I don't hide behind an avatar. I'm raising three black boys and they don't need to witness or be subjected to that shit PERIOD.
So you're saying after images of black men being literally hung during my parents' lifetime, don't get upset when some idiot mocks it. The kids didn't do anything wrong, but I and others are in the wrong to get upset? I know you understand the offensiveness, but is this really being uber PC? Would you turn a blind eye if that occurred in Memorial? Here's a thought for Jeans and others that take offense to the ultra PC - don't invoke images of the past if you want to move on from the past. Is that a practical mindset?I've read a number of his posts too. Here's how I see it. I'm not sure what you are getting at; I didn't suggest that someone shouldn't be bothered by it - you acknowledge that I understand the offensiveness of it. I think his issue was with the possible perceived outrage of this due solely to the race of the president, rather than for any other reason. Has Jeans invoked images of the past? Do those who take offense to the ultra PC invoke images of the past? Are you assuming the kids that did that are ultra PC? I'm not tracking. So you're saying after images of black men being literally hung during my parents' lifetime, don't get upset when some idiot mocks it. Exactly. The imagery of hanging a black man in the US, and the hate and racism that goes along with it, should be similarly unacceptable to a Nazi swastika stamped on the chest of a doll dressed up in traditional Jewish attire, or something the of the sort. Given this country's history, calling negative responses to what happened at Camp Randall "hypersensitivity" is extremely careless and ignorant. It doesn't take a genius to understand that. Living without regard for the past and the atrocities that occurred in this country is ridiculously naive/stupid.
We already got into this in another post, where I shared what I actually am doing in the city in which I live to try to help, but this isn't about that. let's focus on your ridiculously stupid statement instead of trying to deflect to other people. Own your idiocy. So what are you doing to help black people because of the past that they can't do themselves...not a damn thing.
Again, well stated. So you're saying after images of black men being literally hung during my parents' lifetime, don't get upset when some idiot mocks it. I think I've explained it, and what I was saying was my understanding based upon a culmination of posts, not just on this specific OP, but on others as well. I don't think people are hypersensitive if they are bothered by an effigy of the president with a noose around his neck. I don't condone it and I had a negative reaction to it when I saw it. I understand exactly why people have a negative reaction to it. I also understand exactly where Jeans is coming from, who I believe, also didn't care for it. Enjoy your day.Exactly. Only thing that offends me are whites who apply behavior to color...,they are racist POS.....Regardless what you claim you are doing in the inner city.
I stand by my statement....it doesn't offend me....doesn't mean the guy isn't an idiot.....I'm just not sensitive to idiots.
Black people have to help themselves..,your help is useless unless your telling them that.
F You racist POS ...I can think how I please. You don't own or control how black people think...some of us don't think we are inferior to white people....some of use our plight through history as a badge of courage and inspiration . ..it's why I vote always, it's why I went to college these are things my ancestors couldn't do.
Sorry I'm not acting like I have been oppressed....my ancestors did that... I have never had to experience that because of the sacrifices they made for me...I am not inferior to white people and never will be.
LOL at you. I'm a racist POS... OK. You're an embarrassment. Don't hate your skin, embrace it. Also, coming at me like that, I know for sure you're not black. Makes you pretty weird.
Do you even know the definition of racism? Because if I sound more racist with every post please point out this racism.Wow.....you sound more racist every post....your such a dumbass you don't even know it....lol
Tell us what a black person would say....Apparently you have been studying from the Black Encyclopedia.
.Lmao simpleton.
