An Alabama man threatened to drag his 87-year-old mother to a lake and feed her to the alligators if she tried to evict him from her home, police say.

This man, Larry Rollins, 63, of Dothan was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of elderly abuse and neglect, court records show.

According to Rollins' arrest warrant, the alleged threat occurred at around Oct. 17, 2015. This incident was reported to the Department of Human Resources.

Rollins is also accused of hiding his mother's personal property, causing her to worry, and throwing items at her.

His mother also reported to Dothan police that her son made her cook him dinner when she wasn't feeling well and caused her "to live in terror for constant fear for what Larry will do to her," court records show.

Rollins has been accused of domestic violence against his mother in the past, records show. He has previous convictions for first-degree assault, fraud and three counts of forgery.

Rollins made his initial court appearance on Thursday. He is being held in the Houston County Jail on $12,000 bond.
