One of the complaints Gary Andersen had at Wisconsin stemmed from the inconsistency within their admissions. By definition, most Power 5 schools are lowering their admissions requirements for student athletes.
Stanford doesnt accept trombone players with 3.6 GPAs and 25s on their ACT. But they will let in a QB with those numbers.
Andersen claimed they would accept some kids with Lower GPAs and then pass on others. They did that without much transparency.
Stevenson scored a 22 on his ACT. His GPA is 2.4. That passes the NCAA Clearinghouse. That's usually good enough for most schools. Nebraska is willing to accept a student athlete with those numbers. Wisconsin is flaky about it.
