Even though he committed to West Virginia shortly after visiting Nebraska last weekend, Reisterstown (Md.) Franklin receiver Steven Smothers confirmed to us Friday evening that he will still be officially visiting Nebraska on November 6 for the home game with Michigan State.
When I asked Smothers if that meant Nebraska is still in the picture with him, he replied:
"No doubt. They are number 2 for me."

Also Rivals250 offensive tackle recruit Jauan Williams out of Archbishop Carroll High in Washington, DC sent us a text Friday evening stating that he was still very much interested in and considering Nebraska. He said that he had "not yet" set up an official visit to Nebraska but was working on it.
