is this a possibility for Nebraska in the next 3 years?
seeing that we run a passing offense.

This game comes down to the O and D line not being close to the same caliber as OSU. Payton Manning wouldnt be able to throw when you have no line that can open a hole for your running back. Ddd that to an idiot O-coordinator that immediately panicked after the 1st pick 6 and thought we could win by throwing deep passes all night. I mean come on, we had to prove that our #wideouts are better than tOSUs.

I hope one of them guys can pass, cause Im not sure what we are doing now.
I heard we have receivers but they can't really do anything if they can't get the ball. and then it seems like the only thing we have is a worn out defense trying to stay in games.

Yiu could always got watch their videos and check their stats.

This team is at least 2-3 years away from being able to compete at this level. We knew this but hoped otherwise. I just hope they can win 2-3 more yet this year.

do you think armstrong will be ready to go? I think he just got his bell rung and seen some stars. but how everything is litigious these days they had to strap him to a board.

Me too. You have to think we'll have more depth next year anyways with all the guys we have redshirting. And you have to hope we don't get hit with all the injuries again.

The bigger question is this: After seeing what happened to Tommy, would the coaches actually risk greater injury to him? I sure as heck wouldn't, he sits next week as far as I'm concerned, no matter what Tommy tells them.

He freakin' ran back in to the stadium. Maybe I'm missing something but he looked OK. Obviously there could be more to it, and I truly hope Tommy is ready to go next week.

I think turner gill had 4 concussions and he seems ok.

I've got a question too... is it a possibility for people to at least ask decent questions?
I was just letting off some steam, Im well aware the situation we are in

but these 3 qb's best pan out better than stanton.

The fact that these three were recruited by this staff gives me hope... and in 2 cases at least, they got the guy they wanted.

Will the offensive line be fixed by then or will that continue to be the excuse next year?
If it can stay healthy, it should be fine. Can't remember the last time NU had its top 5 offensive lineman in the starting lineup.

I'd like to see us 10 deep at the qb position, so we can find that qb that makes it click.

If TA needs to rest, then rest him. There are more important things than football and we all want this kid to be OK. Is there still enough to gain this Season to justify pulling POB's redshirt?

I'm just not confident we can win any game left on our schedule with Ryker at QB. Not trying to be an a-hole, just my opinion.

I compare what happened to Tommy tonight
to what happened to Shavon Shields in basketball last year... Shavon missed 2 weeks. If Tommy can't play, you need to either burn O'Briens redshirt or let Darlington play. We won't win a game with Fyfe, as I said to my friends tonight I don't think he starts for a D2 team! How he is our number 2 os beyond me?

Tommy is down to his last few games as a football player. He jogged back into the stadium pretty shortly after being taken off. If the kid is cleared and feels ok, he is going to play. He is the leader of the team, and this team needs him.

1. Gebbia is about to break a California record he is only one of eight players to reach the California passing record and will likely break several California records before he graduates. Second O'Brian is a stud look back at his recruiting data. Third Tommy does what he can at valid 6.0 and not at full speed but there is a huge difference between the top 6-8 schools and anybody else in the nation and we are not there yet obviously. Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, Ohio State and Washington are 3-4 touchdowns better than any team behind them in the polls

Our lines are 2 years out. We need to focus on winning with whoever is safe to play the rest of our games as all teams are beatable that we have left. We need a healthy and deeper line plan and all of our Juniors to come back. We will be salty in 2 years and next year improve if O'Brian or the transfer kid can be a threat at running at least some and upgrade our pass play.

It will always come down to the line though tougher, more depth and talent. The kids we have hurt are way better than the ones playing OL now

I have no doubt that the next group of quarterbacks can pass. We hear Tanner is the real deal, and from the video I have seen, Tristian looks legit. Patrick had an ungodly completion percentage in high school and word is the light bulb has turned on for him this fall. So the QB position is not what worries me going forward. We don't have any good depth on the offensive line. That's a big problem.

that leads to the second question, now that we are recruiting against everyone for pass blocking linemen, will we be able to get some linemen who can pass block?
from what I seen we have recruited linemen who know how to get injured, and go to school?

The best part about your posts is the dumb look avatar next to them, they go together.

I could say the same thing about your posts and your avatar. Dumpster fire all around. Glad I can finally ignore you after this one!

So, do you think the coaches will make the decision on whether Tommy plays or not next week based on the opinion of the medical staff or on "what Tommy tells them?"

The medical staff are the only ones that can release him. If he's not cleared, the coaches and Tommy don't have a choice. If cleared, they have a choice.
