It seems like a lot of recruits and families complain about how difficult it is to travel to Nebraska which I completely understand. When traveling for business I get so tired of the connecting flights to get anywhere. So much time wasted in airports and missing flights due to weather.
If we are going to continue heavily recruiting LA with the Williams coaches. Would it not help if Omaha or Lincoln had a direct flight to LA? Or Florida for that matter? Coaches when recruiting have the private jets, but if a recruit commits to play here it is difficult and expensive for the families to travel here to watch or visit. I know this is a stretch, but could the regeants or boosters make this happen somehow? Sure woul be a way to ease travel or the "Distance" issues. Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Illinois all have major hub airports and that does make "distance" easier.
If we already do have a direct flight, just disregard this whole post. I am just thinking out loud.
Frustrated with today also.
