i remember when i first noticed some of the artificial turfs were including the rubber pellets made from recycled tires. at the time, it raised a flag with me and i was thinking, "not sure you want to be eating some of that stuff". anyway, some believe there is enough information out there to warrant a more thorough research into a possible link to cancer.

there are some interesting links at the end of the story. one about a minnesota high school that is putting in turf and using an "eco-friendly" infill.

thought maybe some of you might be interested in reading the story.http://www.ksfy.com/home/headlines/...r-in-athletes-343993372.html?device=phone&c=y

There is some lady who has been publicizing this, alleging that soccer goalkeepers i think have had health problems from diving on it all the time I guess. My son had one incident in which he got one of the pellets caught in his eye, but we got it out the next day. No doubt there are some bad compounds in the rubber, but whether they get transferred much to players is another question.
