Riley & Co. should have went after this Iowa recruit commit hard knowing Guy Thomas is probably going to sign with either Louisville or Pittsburgh.
Legacy Recruit. Dad played at IowaRiley & Co. should have went after this Iowa recruit commit hard knowing Guy Thomas is probably going to sign with either Louisville or Pittsburgh.

FWIW Guy Thomas is still scheduled to visit with 590 tomorrow afternoon during their Nebraska signee interviews.....Riley & Co. should have went after this Iowa recruit commit hard knowing Guy Thomas is probably going to sign with either Louisville or Pittsburgh.
should have GONE, not should have WENT....
I HATE myself for bringing that up, but it is by FAR my least favorite butchering of the language. We had a preacher...smartest guy I've known...said it all the time.
Forgive me my little rant....
The one that drives me crazy is the incorrect use of between and amount. Between is for no more than two choices where among should be used when there are three or more choices. Example: Tom had a choice between soup or salad. Tom had a choice among steak, chicken or fish. Journalist do it incorrectly all the time.should have GONE, not should have WENT....

My husband says that all the time in the pulpit, too. It drives me and everyone else crazy. Thank the good Lord I get to spend most Sundays in children's church.should have GONE, not should have WENT....

Uh oh. You have a typo I assume. "... the incorrect use of between and among." That's what you meant, right? The one that drives me crazy is the incorrect use of between and amount. It must really suck to be a great player yet have the misfortune to be a legacy at such a historically mediocre program like Iowa--it'd be like Antonio Brown being a legacy at Prairie View A&M.Espensa has been going to sleep in Iowa football bed sheets since he was born.

Correct. I fixed it. Hands of stone!Uh oh. You have a typo I assume. "... the incorrect use of between and among." That's what you meant, right?
Yeah if only he could of been a legacy recruit for Nebraska. Why would he want to go to one of the most underachieving programs in the country? Iowa only needs 2 star players to score touchdowns on Nebraska. It must really suck to be a great player yet have the misfortune to be a legacy at such a historically mediocre program like Iowa--it'd be like Antonio Brown being a legacy at Prairie View A&M.

I know they didn't make any rings the last couple years after Iowa stomped Nebraska.Congrats on latest your 8 win season--almost as many wins as Nebraska this year. Did your team make rings for its latest meaningless bowl blowout loss yet?
Yes, your 3-3 record against Nebraska since we joined the Big Ten and 1 major bowl win since the Eisenhower Administration are mighty impressive accomplishments...for Iowa. Too bad that during your best ever era (lol--ONE major bowl win 8 years ago) since 2000 and one of our most mediocre, we still have more overall wins than you within that same timespan. I'm surprised that North Dakota State wasn't completely intimidated by Iowa's legacy of greatness.I know they didn't make any rings the last couple years after Iowa stomped Nebraska.
Nebraskas accomplishments the past 20 years would be somewhat impressive for Northwestern.Yes, your 3-3 record against Nebraska since we joined the Big Ten and 1 major bowl win since the Eisenhower Administration are mighty impressive accomplishments...for Iowa. I dont think Iowa or Nebraska has bragging rights on Northwestern lately. You mean the same Northwestern team that embarrasses Iowa more often than not? Don't worry--I'm sure Captain Clueless will figure out how to defend Pat Fitzgerald's system within the next 10-year contract extension or so.
Agreed.Nah, our record is fine against them. Nebraska and Iowa seem to have polar opposite Achilles Heels: whereas Nebraska will generally beat the teams it's expected to beat and then get blown out against superior talent, Iowa will often play lights out against superior talent but then blow games to the Northwesterns and Iowa States of the world. It's fair to say that both programs could do better.
It's fair to say that Iowa sucks.
