Well golden state is great defensively. They were 4th in defensive rating during the regular season which accounts for pace. The reason their points given up per game wasn't great is because of the number of possessions they go through a game. Of course they were 1st in offensive rating and had arguably the best offensive season ever (best effective field goal % of all time) but they don't just gun it to ourscore opponents. You don't win 73 games without being elite defensively. The thunder seem to have the athleticism and just sheer talent to beat them. They want to run with golden state and they're even beating them badly when they both go small. It's really impressive.
Ok so the arguments are you personally say they dont play tough d, or an 82 game sample says they were the 4th best defensive team in the NBA. Yeah, I think I'll go with the numbers. Also no warrior was even in the top 20 in minutes played per game so the whole worn out going for 73 isn't really accurate either. They're just getting beat.
Finals should be fun. Will be interesting to see how much Lue is able to play Kyrie and Love. Those 2 will get absolutely roasted defending Steph-Draymond pick and rolls, but I don't know where else you hide them. I guess love can guard Bogut. Should be a lot of 3s, will definitely be entertaining.
Eh, Russ averaged 11 assists per game in the playoffs. For anyone that got out of round 1 Lebron is second with 7 per game. Also in game 6, when they really needed to close out, KD was 10/31 (and 12/31 in game 5). He definitely takes some really bad shots but he's not the reason they lost. He brings so much else to the table, including setting up a bunch of teammates that just simply can't get shots for themselves. Adams and Ibaka are good but both need to be setup. Roberson is barely competent on offense but Russ gets him a few lobs and a bunch of open corner 3s every game. Plus he defended Steph and got 7 rebounds a game as a point guard.
