Ohio st has 13 four star recruits and 2 five stars
Penn St has 10 four star recruits
Michigan has 9 four star recruits
Michigan st has 7 four star recruits
Nebraska has 3 four stars
We are quickly falling behind our peers from a talent standpoint. In the Big 12 we were usually 3rd behind Texas and OU
We've fallen to about 5-6 in the Big Ten
All the teams above have equal or better coaching than Nebraska.. This isn't a very good recipe for success. We need at least 8-10 four stars per class just to keep pace and be top 3 in talent.
And yes stars matter. Theres a reason Texas and OU won the big 12 for about the last 10 years Neb was in the Big 12.
Theres a reason OSU will likely win the big ten the next like 5 years.
The best thing for Nebraska would be to go back to a run heavy/ option offense that is difficult to prepare for and stop because teams never see it anymore. Trying to run pro-style with less talent will not work. Either we need to recruit top 15 every year (doubtful) - or switch offense style to run heavy/ option
