33 days: Best #33 in Husker history

6-year NFL veteran and Nebraska All-Century Team Member SE Tyrone Hughes.

Honorable mention...
- S Matt O'Hanlon led the team in interceptions in 2009 with 5. That defense only gave up 7 passing touchdowns while gaining 20 interceptions.
- WB Clester Johnson.
- WB Dana Brinson.

On the defensive side, there is Barry Alvarez (the Eichorst recommendation notwithstanding).

Huskers have had many very good WRs and wingbacks who wore #33. Not sure any would be a clear #1, but these guys all deserve a shout: Curtis Craig, Dana Brinson, Tyrone Hughes, Clester Johnson and the late Anthony Steels.

Schuele covered it for me. But you can't ever forget the old timers. Forrest Behm, a first team All-American in 1940, also wore this number. .

Didn’t mean to leave you out Saluno22..
