Nebraska currently sits at 12-18 (4-5)
For some perspective...
If NU were to win all of their midweek games and won every remaining series they would finish the season at 30-24 (14-10).
An at-large bid is obviously out the window and here's how I see the league shaking out:
1. Rutgers (19-5)
2. Maryland (16-8)
3. Illinois (16-8)
4. Michigan (15-9)
5. Iowa (15-9)
6. Northwestern (14-10)
7. Nebraska (12-12)
8. Purdue (9-13)
9. Michigan State (9-15)
9. Indiana (9-15)
9. Penn State (9-15)
12. Minnesota (8-16)
13. Ohio State (6-16)
14. Wisconsin (0-24)
The bottom of the league is so bad that I think 6-8 in our remaining conference schedule would be good enough to get us into the Big Ten tourney. That's a really depressing thing to actually type out, but it's where we are and who we are this season.
I think at this point we just root for the top teams to crush everyone else and pull away, it would be beneficial to be the 6 seed or better. That being said, we might need to sweep a team like Minnesota, Indiana, or Michigan State because I don't necessarily trust that we avoid a sweep against Illinois (or Iowa for that matter).
