Well we have a ways to go that’s for sure. The constant injuries don’t help. Silva really needs to address his approach with this staff to start the year. We seem to have major arm injuries every season unfortunately. Not that the bats have provided the consistent support. It’s early in the year so we will see. Hope McSteen is fine. Let’s beat Utah tomorrow! GBR

I'd say it's amazing how few left-handed arms we have, but with Silva, it really isn't.

Bad game. Thinking that Ohio St would probably kick our ass.
Luckily we have a month until we play them in Columbus. Hopefully we are stronger top to bottom at that time.

Lots of inexperienced bats in our lineup: Hallmark, Athey, Acker, Henwood, Klenke, Cronenbold (even though he's a senior). They'll get better with reps. Some of those guys are already making good, consistent contact, it's a matter of finding holes in the defense.

But like every year now it seems, pitching health will probably still be a concern.

They will get better. But how much better? Our bats may have to carry the load considering our pitching issues due to injury. That’s a scary thought.
