That short-lived lead reminds me of a JV cross country meet back when I was in high school. The course wasn't well marked at a fork, and one middle-of-the-pack runner from my school knew which way was the correct path and was the only one to take it. Upon this action, he yelled "I'm winning!". Then he finished in the middle of the pack.

3-1 Beavers, B2 1 out runners on the corners.

2 Questions, why do we always seem too land Oregon St in the B1G/ PAC 12 challenge?

And who from the B1G play any of the PAC 12 teams?

Ohio State also was there for a few years.

On the PAC-12 side, it's been Oregon State and either Utah or Washington State.

This season is the last year of Nebraska's contractual involvement (I want to say it was a 4- or 5-year contract), we'll see what happens in the future.

So only 2 teams are at the sight? Wouldn’t be better if there where 4 teams so you don’t have to play all 4 games and against the same team?

This season that is the case. In prior years it was two teams from each conference, and each Big Ten team would play each PAC-12 team twice.

I'm guessing the "Big Ten/PAC-12 Challenge" won't continue after this season.

Took my frustrations out on shoveling the snow this morning

Hopefully the team takes out some frustrations today too.
Let's go RED!!!
I just now finished. Ugh, this winter is giving me a workout. Was hoping to come back in and see us winning but I guess a 5-3 game with a runner on 2nd isn’t bad.

Top of 5
- Spencer caught out in foul territory. 1 down.
- Angelo down to LF corner... Double.
Angelo at 2B. 1 out.
- Mojo...
Beaver pitching change
Strikes out.
Angelo at 2B. 2 down.
- Palensky strikes out.

Take us home Robster

Bottom 6th

Matt Waldron now I’m to pitch for Reece Eddins but gives up a leadoff double to start the inning. A SAC bunt advanves the runner to 3rd. Homerun to RF scores a couple more runs for the Beavers. The next two batters go down in order.

7-3 Oregon State

Top 7th

Cross with a one out double down the LF line. Schwellenbach K’s looking (seems to be the theme of the weekend for this squad). Altavilla flies out to end the frame.

7-3 Beaver State High Chairs

Bottom 7th

One out infield single to SS for OSU. A groundout advanves the runner to 2nd. An E6 scores a run and puts another on 1st. A bunt single puts runners on 1st and 2nd but a strikeout ends the innings.

8-3 Beavs

Bottom 8th

An E5 throwing error allows a runner to reach 1st and then take 2nd. The next batter singles to put runners on the corners. Matt is able to catch the next batter looking at strike three for out #1. A HBP then loads the bases. The next batter K’s for out #2 and a groundout to 2nd ends the inning.

8-3 bad guys

Does Missi St and T-Tech have a lot coming back from their CWS appearances?

If so we’re trouble next weekend too..

That’s what I thought..
Sharpe just mentioned on the radio broadcast that it was supposed to be a 4-team event this year, but Ohio State and Utah chose not to participate.

Also, I was wrong on the duration. Turns out this was just the third season for this particular event (and will be the last). I may have been mistaking other early-season Arizona trips with Erstad's ties to the Angels and this event.

Do you know the reason why OSU was the home team all four games? Seemed odd since it was at a neutral site. Not that it made a difference in any of the games by any means.
