Two-Time Academic All-American S Mark Blazek. His bio says he went through Army basic training during his redshirt season (after playing on the freshman team). Upon return as a sophomore, he was 7th on the depth chart, and worked his way up to second team that year.

Moment...
Walk-on DB/LB Lance Thorell picking off Kirk Cousins in 2011. This was the last game of a 4-game meat grinder for Michigan State (Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nebraska), and they came out flat.

A couple of DBs came to mind for me - Mark Leroy from the 70s and Mark Blazek from the 80s. I'll give the nod to Blazek in part because I once worked down the hall from his extremely hawt sister.

Blazek and Ernie Beler are the first two that come to mind.. Not as many you would think with number being one of the more popular numbers..
