2025 NFL draft. Prime's boy falls out of 3rd round👈😂 5 QB's have been taken before Shedeur!!

Did you see TY ran a 4.83 forty? Best of the DT's.
Yes. Very impressive.

But I doubt he goes in the second round. He’s a 6th year senior with a lot of tread on the tires. For his sake, I’d love it if he went in the second. I’ve seen him listed as a 2nd-5th rounder.

The Lions don’t have a 3rd round pick. I hope they grab him if he’s available in the 4th.

My Jets could use him.

Possible. I think the Titans are taking Miami QB Cam Ward. The Giants will probably be dumb enough to take him. Or the Raiders if they don't pick up a veteran QB this off-season. Heard Stafford or Aaron Rodgers to Raiders?
Do you think Ward will be a Top 15 NFL quarterback? I do not. I think it will be just another bad pick by Tennessee if they draft him.

I watched him play most of his games when he was with the Cougs.

At best I see another Tyrod Taylor, although he throws it a lot more and better

No. I think this is a very weak QB draft class. That's why Deion had his boy come out a year after a very strong QB class. Picking a QB in this class will be like picking the least fat and ugly girl at closing time at the bar.

Ty Robinson is exactly a Dan Campbell type of player. The Lions pick is at toward the end of the second round and Ty will not last until late in the 4th. So the Lions will have to take Ty in the 2nd or trade some draft capital in order to move up to get him.

I don't know what the Lions other needs are-- interior OL? Edge rusher? Corner? X- receiver? I won't look it up but I watch a lot of Lions football so that's my hunch. I bet the Lions stand pat and take the best player available. There should be some edge rushers- damn good ones- available at 60.

Heard more than one expert say that Ward and Sanders would rank behind Williams, Daniels, Drake Maye, Penix and Bo Nix from last year's draft. One had Ward rated with JJ McCarthey, the other had Ward and Sanders rated behind all six from last year. So hell yes, both of those guys were smart to stay in. Who knows how far they would have fell in the 2024 draft? The next QB taken after Nix was in the 5th round.

If I remember correctly Ward declared for the draft, then pulled his name out and took the NIL deal with Miami. Great call there! Now he's the odds on 1st pick in the draft.

I would avoid these qbs in the first round.
The one big thing is its nice having a qb on a rookie contract.

They need IOL, DL, CB.

Probably won’t be able to resign Carlton Davis, so another CB is big. DL depth was decimated last year and they need another DE and DT. And a IOL would be nice.

That’s nice only when that rookie contract QB can play well enough and early enough that you can load up with other pieces and make a run. I don’t see either of these guys having that type of impact. But Brock Purdy did, so it’s not an exact science.

I like the Lions' approach. Let's win on both sides of the line of scrimmage. My Steelers are supposedly in the process of trying to do just that. The Lions are in a great position to snatch up a lineman with their first pick. If one of the top 4- two Michigan men, Nolan from Ole Miss or Harmon from Oregon doesn't fall to them, they could pivot to offensive line and were the big kid from North Dakota State should still be there. Or maybe they like the Alabama guard. And if all of those guys are already picked, then it's almost certain that a first round caliber corner or a dynamic edge rusher will be there. It sets up perfectly for them.

Defensive tackle and edge rusher are super deep in this year's draft.

Campbell and Holmes have done a wonderful job of focusing on the trenches. The amount of flack they got for picking Sewell instead of Justin Fields is funny looking back. Pairing that with a high first round hit rate (arguably 100% so far) and finding gems in later rounds (St. Brown, McNeil, Kerby Joseph), theyve built a great foundation.

Now being able to pay all of them is going to be a challenge in the near future. Probably can’t have everyone, one or more of Jamo Williams, LaPorta, Campbell, and Gibbs will have to move on. Probably Williams? Maybe LaPorta? Hard to have it all.

There's a slight chance that Shadier Sanders could fall all the way to 21 to my QB needy Steelers. But the question is should they draft him? I'm sure the Steelers would be praised getting a great "value" there, but ultimately is he going to be any good?

I wanted my Steelers to draft St. Brown. Getting him in the 4th round was fantastic for the Lions. St. Brown was compared pre-draft to Hines Ward-- good route runner, tough, good blocker. So I loved hearing that. Of course, St. Brown has been a better player than Ward since practically day one.

That's the tough part of NFL football. There are always franchises out there with GMs on the hot seat willing to over pay for your free agents. At least the Lions could get comp picks.

That's because they really aren't. Someone else can correct me on this because I won't research it. But three of those guys are NFL starters- Taylor-Britt, Jurgens and David. Two or three are pretty sure locks to make their teams in the fall. And the rest are fringe players sitting on 90 man rosters just hoping to catch on with a team when cuts are made. The number of NU players in the NFL could be as low as its ever been next fall. We have some guys who are nearing the end due to end or injuries- Ameer, Gifford, Stoll, Gates, Collins. And the great LaVonte David is not getting any younger either.

Collins and Palmer are NFL regulars

Agree with the overall sentiment

Very interested to see how many of our guys get picked next weekend

Well I guess instead of focusing on the trenches the giants are going with the "lets just draft a qb who is used to getting sacked" route.
I would expect the Giants to draft that pass rusher from Penn State with the 3rd pick and then trade up into the 1st round to draft Shadeur Sanders. They can't really just sit back and let too old QBs decide their fate, can they? If they had more time, they could wait until next year to draft a better QB prospect. But too many moves in the NFL are made by GMs & coaches who are on the hot seat. The Giants GM and HC have one season to prove themselves. So they will trade their 2nd rounder and next year's 1st, maybe more depending on how high up they need to go.

It’s almost like there was an 8 year stretch where we produced few NFL players and almost no all-pro types. That needs to change going forward.

This year, Ty will go 2nd round and should be solid rotational DL for a few years. The others are more of the “hoping to catch on” types. So, not enough to turn the tide yet.

Collins will be on his fourth team in four years. Palmer is the #4 WR for the Bucs, but has played well in his role. This year's draft is deep in TEs, DL, RB. We could be seeing the last of some of those guys.

As far as the draft goes, Ty could go early 3rd or wait until the 5th or 6th. It's crazy that he would fall but that's what it looks like. Hill could get drafted-- there's always a team out there that will take a flyer on a long, athletic corner. If Hill went on Day 2, that would be a huge win for him. I don't think Fidone will get drafted. There are just so many TE's. But he tested well so that will help him. I'm hoping that he doesn't get drafted and signs a good UFA deal with a team that has a spot open. Nash, Neyor will get UFA deals. Sherman, Mazzccua, Benhardt, Scott are probably looking at spring tryouts. That's my guess.

Originally didn’t think there was any chance Brady would draft a RB with #6, but there’s a lot of steam.

I’m definitely good with it though…Raiders have to draft playmakers with their top 2 picks(and I include Graham and Walker as playmakers)

If they go OT or QB in round 1 or 2, I might just be done with them.
Brady owns 5 percent of the team. Do you think he has the final decision on who they draft?
