Here we go again.

Remember when Nebraska was supposed to be “7-0 heading into the Ohio State game in 2024.”

I hear ya. And many years I would be highly skeptical, especially the last few years but we have never had Holgerson to start a year. This gives me high hopes for the future, as long as he is OC.Here we go again.

Nebraska will take what it wants. We’re close
Last I heard the Cincy game was moving to KC. Should be like another home game for NU.
Huge Cocks University.what the hell is "HCU"?
Houston Christian University.what the hell is "HCU"?
The Big Ten will have to adjust to us this year.Nebraska will take what it wants.
I liked your answer better. Their roster is put together not by their number of stars, but by inches.Houston Christian University.
You went on a charade of gibberish without knowing the context of that comment. You should really stop wasting your own time as well as everyone else’s on here.because it's cold and rainy up here, i'm bored enough to comment on this "N will take what it wants" stuffing. from my perspective, N has fallen to the category of auburn, iowa, miami, and i won't say which b12 school. there's no longer the dr. tom advantage including s&c, blue chip recruiting, facilities, and others that were real yet for some reason debated ad nauseam. today, N is just another good football school with great tradition and fanbase but without the elite recruiting advantages of ohio state, notre dame, texas, uga, and a few others. occasionally, N will compete for a b10 title and make the cfp. but like other non-elite football schools there will be no dominance as we saw in the 90s. N won't take what it wants but be given what it earns. and those trophies won't be a small task as recent history has shown.

All great points. "Nebraska has fallen down recently without Tom coaching and historical recruiting challenges." Frankly, I'm surprised no one else is talking about this, it really resonated with me. Maybe the mods can pin this at the top.because it's cold and rainy up here, i'm bored enough to comment on this "N will take what it wants" stuffing. from my perspective, N has fallen to the category of auburn, iowa, miami, and i won't say which b12 school. there's no longer the dr. tom advantage including s&c, blue chip recruiting, facilities, and others that were real yet for some reason debated ad nauseam. today, N is just another good football school with great tradition and fanbase but without the elite recruiting advantages of ohio state, notre dame, texas, uga, and a few others. occasionally, N will compete for a b10 title and make the cfp. but like other non-elite football schools there will be no dominance as we saw in the 90s. At a presser when Frost took over as HC he made a comment to the effect that his NU teams would not have to adjust to the B1G, but rather the the B1G teams would have to adjust to NU. Even on this board that comment was considered by some to be cringe-worth. Turned out not enough felt it was cringe-worthy.what context did i miss?
oh, i get that point. it certainly got my attention following N as i do. but i also believe there's a certain husker cadre who still believe this is but a bump in the road rather than a permanent status. At a presser when Frost took over as HC he made a comment to the effect that his NU teams would not have to adjust to the B1G, but rather the the B1G teams would have to adjust to NU. No you missed the point. And this is further nonsense from you. Just own it.oh, i get that point. it certainly got my attention following N as i do. but i also believe there's a certain husker cadre who still believe this is but a bump in the road rather than a permanent status.
Football is a game of inches. 😒👈I liked your answer better. Their roster is put together not by their number of stars, but by inches.
perhaps you can tell us all the point as like me others are probably wondering? No you missed the point. And this is further nonsense from you. Just own it.
schedule gets uglier the more I see it.
It's hard to disagree with you, but NIL opens up unlimited opportunities for anyone in the SEC/B1G.because it's cold and rainy up here, i'm bored enough to comment on this "N will take what it wants" stuffing. from my perspective, N has fallen to the category of auburn, iowa, miami, and i won't say which b12 school. there's no longer the dr. tom advantage including s&c, blue chip recruiting, facilities, and others that were real yet for some reason debated ad nauseam. today, N is just another good football school with great tradition and fanbase but without the elite recruiting advantages of ohio state, notre dame, texas, uga, and a few others. occasionally, N will compete for a b10 title and make the cfp. but like other non-elite football schools there will be no dominance as we saw in the 90s. N has no nil advantage over the elite schools i mentioned above. blue chip athletes are going to take austin, columbus, and south bend over lincoln almost every time, just as they would over iowa city, madison, and bloomington. if nil ever gets regulated, i'm not sure it affects N recruiting all that much. N is always going to attract excellent athletes but not the 5* youngsters, at least routinely like ohio state and texas. It's hard to disagree with you, but NIL opens up unlimited opportunities for anyone in the SEC/B1G.
The problem is not that Nebraska fans expect greatness, it's that they project pre-emptive greatness onto milquetoast staffs and act shocked when the fruits of their labor is barely middling.
If NIL is a moot point and regulated. Today, you are correct with where the blue chippers would go but that doesn’t mean that is set in stone for eternity. As Nebraska chips away at being in the conversation and our program gets top 25 and then 15 and top 10 - we will have the potential to bring blue chippers in - it’s just hard to visualize due to our current situation.N has no nil advantage over the elite schools i mentioned above. blue chip athletes are going to take austin, columbus, and south bend over lincoln almost every time, just as they would over iowa city, madison, and bloomington. if nil ever gets regulated, i'm not sure it affects N recruiting all that much. Name names… who on this board believes this? I don’t think anyone feels like Nebraska is in a position to say we will take what we want. No one is even remotely saying that legitimately, only tongue in cheek.oh, i get that point. it certainly got my attention following N as i do. but i also believe there's a certain husker cadre who still believe this is but a bump in the road rather than a permanent status.
Yeah but what about the guys in Manhattan KS? Shouldn’t that be a bigger concern for you?N has no nil advantage over the elite schools i mentioned above. blue chip athletes are going to take austin, columbus, and south bend over lincoln almost every time, just as they would over iowa city, madison, and bloomington. if nil ever gets regulated, i'm not sure it affects N recruiting all that much. He doesn’t know the difference between tongue in cheek and serious. He has proven that with his responses when being called out for his nonsense.Name names… who on this board believes this? Seriously, you went off on a point no one is actually arguing. For real, if you disagree give at least one name of someone who thinks this is just a 25 year bump in the road. That sounds ridiculous just typing it.
actually, this is a discussion about N, not emaw. but if you want to talk k-state football lean in, i'll sure have something to say.Yeah but what about the guys in Manhattan KS? Shouldn’t that be a bigger concern for you?

momentum plays a part, that's why i compare N to auburn, not alabama. every once in awhile a cam newton shows up on the plains. the same with N, raiola may be that guy. They don’t have top 5 NIL right now, doesn’t mean they won’t ever.
It’s a momentum game, if Raiola can turn Nebraska into a sexy destination, it will turn into a more desirable program, and more booster funding as a result.
Or Nebraska can stay middling, like that Big 12 team who kicked a future national championship QB off the team in favor of a soccer dyke.

as for howard, he is a beloved son. his brother is on this year's roster, o'lineman. we could not be prouder of will for what he accomplished in columbus. several silver linings. he sent a couple buckeyes to k-state. both will start - tackle and linebacker. plus, he gave now-junior avery johnson a year's experience starting down here.
