2025-26 recruiting class updates #2FiveCrew

I still don’t understand how a team can be limited to 105, what happens when you lose several players to season ending injuries? That put you at a disadvantage compared to the other teams. I still think there will be some litigation before the 2025 season begins

Yeah but have you seen his mom

I hope he stays under the radar as a three star. It would be impressive if Rhule is able to pull this kid out of Florida a year from now.
Under the radar? I am guessing you didn’t look at his offer list of Tennessee, Penn St, FSU, Indiana, Oklahoma, Wisky, etc.
And it does seem the those were this past summers offers, not those illegitimate ones that schools send out to freshmen and 8th graders.
He must have felt the vibes here to commit, which is good.. we need good DBs

Not saying that he isn't being recruited by some good schools and most of those offers may be committable for all I know. But by under the radar, I'm talking hoping UT doesn't decide that they gotta have him. Or other SEC big boys, Ohio State deciding to go after him hard. As it stands right now, if he was asked who has recruiting him the hardest, he may say NU, Syracuse, Minnesota. I think his slim build might be holding him back at the moment, but that could change in a hurry.

That or Butler announcing that he's coming back next year decreased the number of spots we have with the 105 limit.
I think once the NU v. Iowa game is complete tonight, I'll start a new thread called "Countdown to 105."

I'll go in and alphabetically list all those players on the roster that are poised to return for next year. As we know, many of them will transfer or enter the portal. I can include the incoming freshmen that have signed for next year. I'm not going to list them by position or class, only alphabetically because it will be easy to maintain as we go along toward next year.

That way, prior to the opening of the portal we can have a definite starting number and when someone enters or comes in through the portal, including any new freshmen signees can be added to make the daily/weekly numbers reflect how many kids would be on the updated roster. This will include the walk-ons that are on the current roster and may well disappear from the NU roster.

Once a player exits the program into the portal, I can simply go in and delete their name from the roster and adjust the total roster number accordingly. I think once the initial roster, including the presumed incoming freshmen, those leaving via the portal it will gives us a much clearer picture of how the roster could look and what areas need to increase or decrease. As long as I'm doing it, I can denote what position they are listed at.

If anyone has any suggestions that would make the overall roster number easier to understand, feel free to let me know. Each time a player leaves or signs with NU, I'll indicate the list was updated as of that date.

One thing I will do is BOLD TYPE any new freshmen we've signed and also include with an x before their name any new players from the portal, it should give us a much clearer picture of how much the roster has transitioned to 105.

Some of the young players may be designated with a class that could be altered due to redshirting, etc. It will be easier to list them all correctly by class once I get it more streamlined.

Wow. Is that an illusion or does that kid make Donnie look really small?
Donovan actually isn't a very big guy. Dom wasn't really very big either for an NFL center. When I saw him up close when he played for the Lions he looked like a dwarf compared to the other O linemen and his O line coach. Dom excelled with technique, quickness and nastiness.

Given that the first signing period for the '24 class is coming up pretty soon, I'm surprised we haven't heard much. Anyone have any guesses as to surprises (hopefully positive ones) on signing day?
