Rowdy Bauer, a 2024 ATH out of Norfolk High School, was offered a preferred walk-on spot by Nebraska on Tuesday. He listed Ed Foley as the assistant who offered.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Bauer played RB, WR, S and CB. He recorded 971 total yards and 16 touchdowns for Norfolk as a senior, rushing for 719 yards, 6 yards per carry and 12 touchdowns. He also caught 24 passes for 252 yards and three scores. A special teams threat, he returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
Bauer is a good athlete. He long jumps 23 feet, 9 inches in track and lists a 4.58-second 40-yard dash, a 35.5-inch vertical, a 465-pound squat and a 305-pound clean. He also owns PWO offers from Wyoming, New Mexico and Louisiana-Monroe. He has scholarship offers to Northern State and Wayne State College.
