It seems like there should be a question regarding that class. “Which one of these guys doesn’t belong?”
Taylor Martinez had a lot of stats but I don't think he belongs in the discussion of great Husker QBs. He wasn't a leader. I remember media apologists saying over and over that he "led by example" but all I see with that is someone who has the status on a team and should speak up but won't. And I still have the image in my mind of him going off to mope by himself on the sideline whenever things didn't go well. Then there was the inexplicable carelessness with the football he would show from time to time.glad to see tmart get some recognition. wonky passer but still one of the most exciting offensive players in a long time.

But he is without a doubt one of the better offensive performers of the Pelini-Riley-Frost era. So maybe Taylor gets in because he's the face of that era of Husker football?
Taylor’s completion %:glad to see tmart get some recognition. wonky passer but still one of the most exciting offensive players in a long time.
I'd pay to hear that one.I wonder if Pelini will be inducted some day. If so, it will be an interesting acceptance speech if he attends the ceremony.
Brook helped us win a national championship AND he was an exemplary leader.Taylor was a first team all big ten QB — he absolutely deserves to get in
Brook Berringer is in the hall of fame .. Taylor should be as well
1000% This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Brook Berringer helped win a national championship, played and won a game with a collapsed lung, played with a catheter underneath his shoulder pads, And IIRC came back in the second half of the Kansas State game to help us beat those guys when it was too early for him to resume playing. Then the next year when he lost out on the starting job he was the consummate team player.
Now maybe the rumors about Taylor playing with a badly sprained ankle in some kind of cast are true, but with all due respect Taylor is not in the same league.
But if you don’t follow the Huskers closely, maybe it’s hard to remember all of this.
I think you should at least need to be first team all conference to qualify. Dumas was a good player but maybe the 6th or 7th best defensive player on that D. HOF? It’s all getting watered down due to the lack of playmakers Neb has fielded of late.
