Nolan Hakel a senior this year? Did he even pitch? thought he was sitting out

Not to be a jerk but this is why Erstad was never going to be nationally relevant. Creighton is kicking our butt for a reason.

I mean we love the guy but be hit under .260 his last year in college which probably doesn’t translate well.

I know. Very solid defensively and if I'm a big league team, I'm thinking I could get more out of his offense than Nebraska did.

He doesn't have the power to play 3B at the next level and he isn't good enough defensively to play SS at the next level.

I do want to add that it does prove the younger talent we have to make a regional without any draft picks other than Waldron. So maybe this was his best coaching job because of recruiting and the senior arms. I do feel playing in the Big Ten helps us look better than we really are as well.

Yes, this year’s team had lots of young talent mixed with some seniors who were greater than the sum of their parts. I think there were only two juniors who were regular contributors (Mojo and Acker) so the lack of drafted Huskers in 2019 is really not surprising to me.

Especially when u put a wood bat in the young mans hands. Like his fire and a solid college player but that’s as far is it goes.
