Hard to trash our AD pushing this, but I'm sure the knuckle-draggers will find a way. Also, don't close the book on satellite camps.
NCAA already did. But I do hope that the outcry is loud enough and long enough for them to reconsider. But I highly doubt the SEC or ACC will ever do anything other than fight hard against it. And it's the perfect set up for them. Bully the NCAA into doing their bidding, and when the public complains the NCAA takes the heat.

The NCAA didn't close these camps .... the bylaws allow for votes on these topics .. the ACC drafted a proposal to ban satellite camps and by vote of the conferences the proposal passed ... the BIg was the only power conference that voted for the satellite camps ....
the power 5 conferences could disband from the NCAA and the vote against satellite camps would have been even more lopsided against the BIG as some of the smaller conferences voted to continue these camps
There's a lot of talk now about a few conferences whose official vote went against the wishes of the majority of thier members. Smells fishy and I hope this turns into full blown scandal. But I won't be holding my breath

I read where the SEC didn't vote against a complete ban on satellite camps like was reported, but they requested it be limited by what coaches could attend. ACC voted completely against it. Seems like the reporting on what was requested vs what was stated is off. However, Oliver Luck made mention that it's still up for further discussion.
Like how in the 12 member Pac 12 where 7 schools voted for satelite camps and only 5 voted against them yet the Pac 12 conference rep voted against them anyway?

This is VERY good for NU. Remember over the last few years, NU seemed to lose the Momma vote. If Momma can come, then that's another tool in the tool bag.

What exactly did Leach say when he quoted the votes? I cannot remember... but the majority were supposedly for it.
Leach told Rich Eisen 11 voted in favor and one abstained but he's the only one that has said that number I think, and he didn't know which school abstained. Several radio guys out west have said they were told it was 7-5 in favor by sources.
I've heard Pac12 and Sun Belt as two conferences in which the majority wanted satellite camps, yet their conference representative voted against. There may be more. How that happens without that dude (or dudette) losing their job escapes me. Unless there is shady business behind the scenes, and I actually expect that in this case.
